The horns are blowing, the bass walking and the beat swinging: Anything Goes are a premier little big band available as a trio right through to a 10-piece.
Anything goes are made up of some of the finest musicians from the Manchester area. They have been playing together since 2002 and have performed at Jazz festivals, Jazz venues, Weddings, Corporate functions and parties across the country and beyond. The band can come in the format of a duo right up to a full 9 piece band with a brass section and female vocals. The band also have a reputation of taking songs that were not originally Jazz standards and making them sound modern and authentic all in one. Anything goes perform many of the songs from the Rat Pack era which have come back into the mainstream through artists such as Michael Buble. Singer Paul has a very understated but slick style which has been entertaining audiences for nearly a decade (even though he has only just turned 30).
Anything Goes can also add a little spice to your event with a theme. Paul is a trained dancer and can bring along a dance teacher to help him to show your guests the moves to classic ballroom/jive/latin dances whilst the band are playing. The teacher would then mingle around the event encouraging people onto the dancefloor. If you’re a film buff Anything Goes can come and play songs from all the Quentin Tarantino films such as Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown, the band will even look like reservoir dogs!
If you want your event to appeal to all ages because of the songs choices, set a class mood to your event because of the sound, and get up and dance for the whole night then the Anything Goes are ideal for you.
