Quirky quartet Baron Samedi are a London party band with a uniquely sassy sparkle, playing a repertoire that brings a dash of toe-tapping 1920s jazz, funky samba, cool Latin and hot club to an extensive rock and pop set. Their delightfully original fun and frolics have enhanced many weddings, corporate events, parties and clubs.
The band’s female lead singer has been writing and performing across the world since she was 13, winning many awards for her songwriting and even being covered by Paloma Faith. The drummer has had a career spanning everything from theatre and junk orchestras to supporting Van Morrison, playing at intimate venues and in vast arenas, as well as entertaining corporate clients. The bass player fell in love with the bass when he was six and is now a master of both acoustic and electric bass. He has toured across Europe as well as recorded in top London studios, playing everything from rock to be-bop. The band’s guitarist, who also shares some of the lead vocals, has played for Victoria State Opera and has toured and recorded with American singer Nikka Costa, Sean Kelly, Joey Geia, Ian Moss, Jackie Orzousky and supported Billy Thorpe and Musique Soulchild.
