What people say Help

  • You guys were absolutely incredible on Saturday at our wedding! Thank you so much! Your ability to sense the mood and react with great music choices created a perfect atmosphere the whole night through from chilled out background music to getting everyone moving to the dance floor, even my mum!! Virtually all our guests commented on how amazing you were, so thank you for entertaining everyone and giving us a perfect night!!

  • Hi, we would just like to thank you for being such an amazing band at our wedding. Our guests really enjoyed your performance and we are so happy we choose you guys to help us dance the night away. We wouldn't have changed a thing!!xx

Kerry & Ant, Wedding, London, December 2013
  • We loved the Blue Notes. We had them as a trio while we were having the pre-wedding breakfast drinks. They played just the right amount of party music and chilled out stuff at the right times so people could chat and then dance. It was like a party before the party which all our guests thought was pretty cool as the mingling part of a wedding before eating can be like watching paint dry.

They made the occasion that bit different. All three musicians were very friendly and let the kids join in with singing when they knew the chart favourites. All ages thought they were brilliant. I would recommend them to anyone for any event! Five stars from us!

    Janet, Wedding, Rye, December 2013
  • The Blue Notes were absolutely fantastic! They had everyone up dancing from the first song until the last (and even handed the mic over to a friend so he could sing for us!) We had lots of comments from guests on how much they loved the band, we'd definitely recommend them to others.

    Lauren, Wedding, London, December 2013
  • The Blue Notes were brilliant.Communicating with them was a pleasure, they called a few weeks before and we arranged everything/checked over the details.
They arrived with plenty of time to set up, and were happy to start a little earlier as we were running 15-20 minutes early. Their performance was amazing, they had some ideas for the set and it worked perfectly, I couldn't fault them.

    Anthony, Wedding, Cheshunt, November 2013
  • The Blue Notes were fabulous at our recent birthday party! They quietly set up and organised themselves and were a real hit with everyone. Their song choices were great and they interpreted the mood of the party brilliantly. I would definitely book them again!

Moya, Birthday Party, Hertfordshire, November 2013
  • They were fantastic! The lead singer has an incredible voice, and the guys sang beautifully too. When my guests fancied a boogie to 'Gangnam Style' the band did their own take on the song and played a short piece of it. Our guests loved it! The variety in songs was brilliant and suited those out on the dance floor. All in all, a fantastic evening! The only thing I would have changed was to have booked them to sing for longer!!

Megan , Wedding, Reading, October 2013
  • I just want to say thank you for playing at our Wedding in Southend. The band were so lovely and amazing.

    Jennifer, Wedding, Southend, October 2013

  • The Blue Notes were the perfect choice for our wedding reception. They read the mood of the evening perfectly and provided top-class music throughout. The three-piece were utterly brilliant, and we received numerous compliments from our guests. They arrived and set up with the up-most professionalism and we hardly noticed them packing away. I would heartily recommend them.

Ben & Helen, Wedding, East Sussex, August 2013

  • The Blue Notes were amazing. Great music, really prompt setting up and very accommodating before and during the wedding. The performances were great we couldn't have been happier with them!

    Ronan, Wedding, London, July 2013
  • The Blue Notes were just fantastic and exceeded my expectations. They were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They discreetly set themselves up in the barn I had hired for my 40th Birthday party and played at a level that everyone appreciated i.e. not too loud/quiet. They perform to a very high standard and have a vast array of music spanning the decades. The majority of my guests commented on how good they were and where did I find them! I would, without hesitation, hire them again.

Helen, 40th Birthday Party, Cotswolds, June 2013
  • The band were absolutely fantastic! They were exactly what we were looking for, they crated a set list which was perfect for our event as well as being professional and easy to communicate with. Performing in front of a room full of graduating Performing Arts students can't of been easy but the band were brilliant and everyone loved them! I couldn't have asked for more!

Katie, University Ball, Folkestone, May 2013
  • The Blue Notes were absolutely fab, we did not get to hear much of them as we were in various places having our photographs taken, but all our guests thought they were amazing and loved Nicky's voice! They couldnt believe she was live and loved The Blue Notes interpretation on current songs, they went down really well and we would recommend them to everyone!!

Kelly and Andrew, Wedding, Buxted Park, May 2013
  • We were very pleased to have booked a 4-piece, it really made a great show. They produced some lovely background music during our drinks reception, then went on to perform 2 sets during the evening, including our first dance, which were all amazing! We had so many comments on how great they were! They were all lovely musicians and set up and cleared away unnoticeably. I'd certainly book them again, they really made our wedding complete.

    Sophie, Wedding, Woodditton, April 2013
  • The Blue Notes are an excellent group with a wide repertoire and brilliant sound. They were helpful and cooperative in the preparation and choice of music, and adaptable on the night when special requests were made. Many of our guests commented favourably about them. I would not hesitate to recommend them for a similar event.

Tony, Birthday Party, London, January 2013
  • The Blue Notes were great! They had a really good song list and on the night they judged the crowd and mood well and played songs to suit the night. I was really pleased with them. They were fantastic.

Samantha , Birthday Party, Surrey, December 2012

    Daniel, Wedding, London, December, 2012
  • We couldn't have been more happy, impressed and proud to have the Blue Notes. The set they chose was absolutely perfect for the guests who ranged in age from 20 to 70. The dance floor was never empty and so many people complimented the band on how professional and talented they were. They arrived on time and were incredibly professional from beginning to end. They catered for my patents "first dance" and the speeches. They looked and sounded fantastic.

    Shelley, Wedding, London, November 2012
  • The Blue Notes were absolutely brilliant. They were professional, smart, on time, set up quickly. The looked sexy and were a class act.

    Colin, Wedding, Essex, October 2012
  • Utterly stunning voice, soul-y with a rock edge, Nicky and the guys were amazing, everyone just loved them they were all we wanted and so much more, they gave our wedding ceremony and reception a magical but cool laid back vibe, two fantastic sets we cant thank them all enough. So sweet and lovely too!

Olivia & Simon, Wedding, Essex, September 2012
  • The Blue Notes were so lovely and open to adapting depending on everyones mood and what everyone was doing at the time.

    Sophie, Wedding, Hampshire, September 2012
  • My new wife and I would just like to pass on our thanks to the Blue Notes. We both had a fantastic time on the day, in no short part to the quality and professionalism of the band. They were everything we could have asked for on the night and truly made it a memorable occasion. We had nothing but positive comments from all the guests, they sounded amazing and perfectly complemented the day. We would have no hesitation to recommend them for further events or to anyone who would appreciate the professionalism of a wonderful group, my only regret is now not having the 3 piece instead! Thank you again for making it a special day.

Jamie & Caroline, Wedding, June 2012
  • Our wedding day was more than a success! Everything went so smoothly - with thanks to The Blue Notes. The Blue Notes were very professional, came in on time, set up very quietly during our reception meal. They played beautifully and without a break as we were running late. They were very flexible to the time of the event and made us feel less stressed.

Once more thank you very much for the great service we have received from you and from The Blue Notes, we would happily recommend you to friends and family.

Mirka and Dave, Wedding, April 2012
  • I would be extremely happy to recommend Blue Notes to anybody. They were perfect as a duo for what we wanted, which was entertainment that created a chilled out classy vibe post wedding breakfast, pre evening entertainment. Our guests commented on how great they were, and what a nice idea it was to have live entertainment at that time of the day. They were as professional as they were talented, and I thank them sincerely.

Rachel and Luke, Wedding, June 2011
  • Just wanted to drop a line to say how happy we were with the Blue Notes Acoustic Trio on Saturday - they were amazing and very professional throughout. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the music was- it definitely added something special to our day. Many thanks.

Sarah and James, Wedding, Surrey, June 2011
  • We booked the Blue Notes Trio for a party to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday, our son’s 21st and both of our sons’ graduations, so lots to celebrate. The evening went very well and the Blue Notes Trio definitely made the party extra special. They were professional but relaxed which made it very easy to welcome them into our home. Their style of music went down very well with everyone, young and a bit older! They were happy to do any requests that we might have and contacted us in advance to ask. I would definitely recommend the Blue Notes Trio. Function Central were very helpful and easy to deal with. I thought the website was easy to use and especially liked the fact that you can listen to the bands. The whole process went very smoothly from booking to party. Thank you very much.

Just wanted to let you know that they were fantastic and we are all extremely happy with their performance, their choice of songs and their characters. We will definitely consider calling on them again in the future when the opportunity arises. 10 out of 10! Many thanks.

  • The Blue Notes were excellent. A highly professional act, with a varied repertoire combined with musical perfection made for a perfect accompaniment to the evening. Playing for our Warrant Officers Dinner night was a tough audience to say the least but I had nothing but excellent feedback, I look forward to booking them again, thanks guys.
