The irresistible rhythms and beautiful melodies of Brazilian music are brought to life by this sensational London quartet. Perfect as either background music during receptions or for dancing away the evening.
Brazil Connection are an exciting and dynamic Latin band playing music by Brazil's greatest composers from the 1900s to the present day, from early Brazilian tangos by Ernesto Nazareth, to classic choros from the 1930s and '40s by legendary figures Pixinguinha and Jacob do Bandolim, to contemporary greats such as Hermeto Pascoal, Guinga and Luciana Rabello.
The group's performances have included the Brazil: Brasil festival at London's Barbican Centre, the National Theatre's 'Watch This Space' festival, the Royal Festival Hall Foyer, the Cheltenham Festival of Literature, the London Guitar Festival and jazz clubs and arts centres across the UK.
The group specialise in the classic songs of samba, and the great tunes of Choro, samba’s instrumental “twin” style. Imagine a Brazilian version of Cuba’s legendary Buena Vista Social Club and you’ll get the idea. Always professional, well-dressed and happy to adapt to your requirements, Brazil Connection are available in a range of line-ups: the quartet is their most popular line-up, but they can expand into a quintet and sextet, which are recommended for dancing.

Hilary, Wedding, September 2010Please pass on our thanks to Brazil Connection for the fabulous set they played at our wedding on Sept 18th this year. They provided us with a wonderful Brazilian flavour to our evening party and everyone loved them. We had many guests from Brazil and my husband is Brazilian so it made them all feel like they had a slice of home culture at a London wedding! They were very accommodating – arrived and set up early after I know they had been gigging the night before. The booking process was straight forward and Function Central were helpful in liaising between the band and ourselves.
