What people say Help

  • I have used Function Central on three occasions to book bands for family celebrations and they have always been very reliable and efficient. Captain Planet were great - very professional. We had a large range of ages at the party and the dance floor was always full. Guests remarked on how good the band were. A big 'thank you' to Alex and the boys.

Lorna, Richard's 60th Birthday Party at Barnham Broom Hotel, Norfolk, July 2017
  • Captain Planet were incredible. Nothing we asked was too much, they learnt our first dance song and played it perfectly, they got everyone dancing until the very end, and everyone has commented on how good they were. Absolutely fantastic band!

Adam, Wedding in Swarkestone, Derby, July 2017
  • You were incredible. You arrived bang on time and fitted in at the venue without any fuss. Thank you for staying within the noise limits at the venue - the music choices were ideal and you really managed to get everyone up and dancing. We really enjoyed your performance and had so many people commenting on how good you were. A huge thank you to the band for a fantastic evening!

    Warwick, Wedding, Derbyshire, July 2016
  • The band were out of this world, they totally made our wedding! They arrived on bang on time and set up very quietly while our guests were enjoying the reception. Everyone was up and dancing and they even got my mother-in-law and mother to have a dance off which was hilarious! I would recommend them whole heartedly to anyone looking to have a wedding reception full of fun and laughter!

    Ashley, Wedding, Derbyshire, October 2015
  • The band were amazing. They arrived in plenty of time. The music was great and they were very professional.

    Amy, Wedding, Nottinghamshire, July 2015
  • We just wanted to let you know how fantastic Captain Planet were on Saturday night. We had comments all evening from guests of all generations and their ability to fill the dance floor was great! At one point ages ranged from 8 to 84, their song choice was so good. They also had outstanding audience interaction which went down a treat. Please do pass on our thanks to them for an incredibly fun evening.

Tara , Wedding, Cirencester, June 2015
  • Fantastic, so glad we booked Captain Planet. Everyone said how good the band was and I will definitely recommend them. Loved the fact they got everyone up dancing and performed our first dance song really well. Big thanks to them.

    Lisa, Wedding, Hertfordshire, May 2015
  • We were hugely satisfied with our choice. Captain Planet were brilliant. They were very understanding regarding the venue's noise restrictions and with the fact that our speeches over ran and delayed their set. They helped the evening along by announcing the cutting of the cake and did a great job of encouraging guests onto the dance floor (although their tight, charismatic performance did that by itself). The impromptu dance off between the best men, brides/grooms family and groom and bride went down brilliantly and really got the party started. Their set list was great, a really good mix to cater for all guests and the dance floor was filled by the end of the night. On top of that the band were really nice and friendly. All of our guests commented on how good the band were and I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone seeking an energetic and talented band for their wedding/event.

    Lewis, Wedding, Hertfordshire, October 2014
  • We booked Captain Planet for our wedding reception and we can't praise them enough. The atmosphere they created was immense and we can't thank them enough for making the day so much fun!! They chose the playlist and it was awesome keeping everybody on the dance floor all night!!! Thanks Captian Planet :)!

    Colette, Wedding, Leicestershire, August 2014
  • We booked Captain Planet for our wedding in May, Bank Holiday on the 26th at Grafton Manor. They were perfect! They arrived on time, liaised with one of the ushers and we had literally no concerns over them setting up etc. Most importantly their music was superb. Really high energy and quality covers of loads of modern and old music which we all enjoyed. Genuinely one of the best wedding bands I've seen. A lot of our friends have been married recently and so many of our friends have said our band made the night so good! It's a certainly a booking we are very pleased we made! Would recommend them to anyone! Thanks so much Captain Planet!

    James, Wedding, Worcestershire, May 2014
  • Just sending you this email to say a massive THANK YOU for being so amazing on our wedding day. We cannot thank you enough for your perfect performance on our special day and our guests cannot stop complimenting at how fantastic you all were. You guy's definitely knew how to work the crowd which made for some very hilarious videos that we will always look back on with a smile (including my husband bribing the crowd for a louder cheer at his dodgy dance moves). We will be in touch with Function Central to pass on our gratitude for how special you made our big day!

Victoria and Rob, Wedding, Northamptonshire, August 2014
  • Captain Planet were totally brilliant. They arrived promptly and were just lovely guys to have around. They were fantastic with our guests who literally haven't stopped raving about them since. They were definitely one of the highlights of our day and made our evening memorable!!

Johnny and I cannot thank them enough!"

    Jennifer, Wedding, Stroud, May 2014
  • We were delighted with Captain Planet. The band were very polite and helpful before their performance, contacting us to discuss the timing and plans for our party. On the day the band were very friendly and took care of all their setup quickly. The performance itself was excellent. They were really energetic and did a great job encouraging people to get up and dance. They judged the mood of the evening perfectly, and even allowed one of our friends sing on one of the songs - a spontaneous moment that helped to make the evening really special. We've had a huge number of people tell us since how much they liked the band!

    Toby, Wedding, York, February 2014
  • Couldn't fault them one bit. Great musicians, great song choices and very interactive with the crowd. Have received many compliments since.

    Sam, Wedding, Hertfordshire, January 2014
  • We were really pleased with the band. All of our guests loved them and they particularly impressed some of our guests who are professional musicians themselves. The band chose great songs to play which catered for a wide audience of varying ages. They got everyone up and dancing straight away and created a brilliant atmosphere. They were also very helpful and informative beforehand and very friendly on the day. We would definitely recommend them to others and in fact, have already passed on their details to one of our guests for his own function.

    Felicity, Wedding, Kettering, August 2013
  • Captain Planet were fantastic! Can't tell you how impressed we were with them, and so were our guests. There very talented musicians and I'd recommend them to anyone. If they didn't just play private events we'd definitely go and watch them again!!!

    Craig, Wedding, Coventry, August 2013
  • We were very pleased with Captin Planet. They played songs that we asked for before the day and got our guests involved. They were also very open to last minute changes on the day with regard to start times and set lengths. We had a lot of comments from guests about how much they enjoyed the band. We would definitely recommend Captin planet to others and would like to thank them for their contribution to our wedding day.

    Paul, Wedding, Berkswell, July 2013
  • Having booked Captain Planet through an agency based solely on a few reviews, some small clips of songs on the website and one video on youtube, I was a little apprehensive in the approach to the wedding about the band.

I shouldn't have given it a second though because they were absolutely amazing (and that really doesn't even do them justice)!!!! Every single song they played had the dancefloor packed and we received wonderful feedback from our guests from the children up to the OAPs!! The mix of songs was fantastic and they even threw in an impromptu dance off between the two best men, the parents and the bride and groom which went down a treat and, as it was caught by the videographer, I'm sure will be a highlight of our video when it arrives.

A month on and the majority of our guests, us included, are still raving about just how good the band were. They exceeded all of our expectations and if we ever needed a band again we'd be in touch with them in a heartbeat. Thank you so much to Captain Planet for helping make our wedding reception out of this world!!

    Mandy, Wedding, Leeds, June 2013
  • The act were absolutely fantastic they made our night, everyone said how brilliant they were!!

    Daniel, Wedding, Surrey, May 2013
  • Captain Planet were brilliant and were exaclty what we were hoping for, they even let the bride's Dad sing an Irish wedding song which Laura and I got up and danced to.
Their musicianship was incredible, and you could really tell they were enjoying themselves. Everyone was up and dancing, some guests were even having a sing along on stage at one point! No one wanted them to finish, but sadly the fun had to stop eventually, though we did get two encores out of them which was hugely appreciated!

    Matt, Wedding, Southgate, April 2013
  • Captain Planet where fantastic! They sounded great and had a wonderful rapport with the crowd. We could not have asked for a better act.

    Simon, Wedding, Midlands, November 2012
  • We were completely satisfied with Captain Planet - a job well done. The band included wedding guests in their performance which was really good to see. Will definitely recommend to friends in the future.

    Matthew, Wedding, Lancashire, November 2010
  • The band were truly awesome, even better than I expected them to be from watching the You-Tube clips. They were professional, arrived on time, and the music was simply brilliant. Everybody commented on how good they were and many will call on them if they ever need a band. They also seemed to have a great time, it was like they were enjoying it rather than it just being a job (they did remark it is one of the most unusual but fun parties they'd ever done as we had an underwater theme!). I cannot praise them enough - please say a massive thank you. Oh and to have a female drummer who totally rocks - priceless!!!

Liz, Pre-Wedding Party, Nottingham, November 2012
  • We got married on the 8th September at Silverstone Golf Club and we hired Captain Planet as our evening band. They were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!! ALL our guests have told us how fantastic the band were! Alex was really chilled out and managed to ensure the whole evening went exactly as we wanted it. The set list was spot on and by the end of the night everyone was on the dance floor!

Could you please pass on our huge thanks to the band and express our gratitude for them being involved in the best day ever!

We've had loads of people asking who they are and where they're from so I'm pretty sure they will get loads more offers to play at other venues!

    James, Wedding, Silverstone, September 2012
  • Great band, talented and friendly. Looked like they enjoyed playing together and the guests loved them.

    Charles, Wedding, August 2012
  • Captain Planet were fantastic, playing a wide variety of songs and being very professional. The band played everything that we wanted and they were very good at getting the guests to join in and have some fun. Brilliant -couldn't have asked for more! Thanks.

    Simon, Wedding, Hull, July 2012
  • The wedding was great fun and the band added massive value. Great tunes, handled the range of people there very well and got everyone up and going - highly recommended. Alex was very relaxed and accommodating, many people asked us where we got them and we pointed them in your direction. Excellent, thanks.

    Rich, Wedding, Warwickshire, April 2012
  • Captain Planet did an amazing job at our wedding, everybody loved them and they had everyone dancing all night long. They were extremely friendly and polite too. I would highly recommend them.

    Rosie, Wedding, September 2011
  • We were really impressed by the band, especially when we really didn't know what they were going to be like! They played excellently and really got us all involved and enjoying ourselves. They really made the evening!

Kate and Paul, Wedding, Derbyshire, September 2011
  • I would strongly recommend Captain Planet for their musical ability, being three nice friendly guys and who have a great selection of songs. They fitted in well with the guests chatting with family and friends. So many people commented on how much they enjoyed themselves and how good the band was (this included children right the way up to family members in their 80s). I think the secret was that the boys are excellent musicians and really enjoy what they do which translated to everyone present. To give you an idea, some people at the wedding said they would like to book the band for themselves in the future and some described them as one of the best wedding bands they'd seen. Looking back I don't think we could have achieved any more with any of the originally recommended bands (and now Captain Planet has become one of my "recommended bands").

    Dave, Wedding, Kent, July 2011
  • It was a really good evening! Please pass on my thanks again to the band. They were awesome and really good fun! Definitely lived up to our expectations and more! Thanks again and we will keep them in mind if we need a band again.

Helena, 18th Birthday Party, St Albans School Sports Pavilion, Sept 2010
  • Please tell Captain Planet how grateful we are for the terrific atmosphere they created! They recognised what the audience wanted and played accordingly. It was a superb evening and we have received really good feedback.
