The Jumpingist Jivers in town - from their togged-out period clothes to their in between-song banter, Five Guys Named Moe play swingyjazzybluesyjivey music to fill any dancefloor!

Formed from their passion of western swing jive and jump blues music and heavily influenced by Louis Jordan, Wynonie Harris and Bob Wills, this 5-piece band from Kent have performed their musical mix to weddings festivals and corporate events and have been featured in live session on BBC radio.

The band have also released a full studio album called "Chicken Skin Swing" containing 16 high-quality swing and jive tracks. The highly-respected roots and country magazine Maverick Music reviewed the album in their September issue describing it as "sublime". The review concludes by saying "With this their sixteen track album which has no hint of amateur efforts about it whatsoever this band is one that as long as they keep gigging and playing material like this then stardom and further success will not be too far around the corner."

What people say Help

  • Five Guys Named Mo were absolutely fantastic, full of energy and character we loved them. Lots of our guests have commented on the brilliant music which had such a spark and verve about it. Function Central made the whole booking process a breeze and the band were very helpful beforehand too. We would definitely, and thoroughly recommend both.

  • Both Clare and I wanted to thank you all so very much for a great performance at our wedding on the 20th December! It was exactly what we wanted and without any doubt made the day perfect and one to remember! Everyone I have spoken to since has said "what a brilliant band!" So thank you guys for topping off a fantastic day, (with particular reference to our opening song, I'm just sorry my dancing didn't do your music justice!) I know we will be seeing you again in the near future at one of your gigs

  • Just wanted to thank you for a great night’s entertainment last night at the Farmhouse. We all thoroughly enjoyed the gig and look forward to seeing you again soon! Keep rocking….NB: CD has come out really good, too

  • Thanks again for a fantastic performance on Saturday - our boss was tuned in, and made a point of saying how good you and the guys were, so I've suggested we use you again for our stand at the Kent County Show later this year. He said it was a good idea and would keep you in mind. I will do my best to get along to your CD launch, but if I can't make it.........Have a fantastic night!!!!!
