Ian Price

Birmingham based singer Ian performs Rat Pack classics as well as a few modern tunes in the swing style, a la Paul Anka. He has over 30 years singing and entertainment experience, in fields as diverse as musical theatre, pop, rock, soul, cabaret and even opera.

Ian first strutted the stage at the tender age of 8 and through the years has had a hand in many productions, in this country and abroad, including theatres like "The Royal Shakespeare Theatre", "The Birmingham Hippodrome" and a tour of the USA.

Ian trained in London for 3 years with a professional west end performer and coach. Since then he has had major roles in musicals in provincial theatre, played clubs up and down the country, sang at hundreds of weddings and a funeral and discussed recording contracts with powerful, yet unheard of, record industry moguls, who have yet to decide his future!

After a brief sabbatical to raise his young children he has come full circle, “although I still would love that big break in a West End show, or musical tour, I have come back to my first love SWING, BIG BAND and JAZZ STANDARDS, I am still that wide eyed youth who wants to be cool and dangerous like Frank, Dean or Sammy”.
