What people say Help

  • King Zorg played at the firm’s New Year party in 2010 and basically brought the house down. The two sets they did were tight, fun and spot on. It’s hard to get a corporate crowd up dancing at the best of times but King Zorg more than managed it with some old favourites and a mix of newer, popular and contemporary stuff. A resounding success – to such an extent we booked them again this year and if anything they were even better second time around.
I have booked bands through FC for five years now and have found Ali, Mike, Beverley and the Function Central team really helpful and efficient. The website is comprehensive and easy to use and any extra advice that you need they are happy to give. Everything is made as easy as possible which is a real bonus when trying to organise a large event – at least you know the music side of things is in safe hands.

  • King Zorg played at our wedding on November 13th 2010 at Clearwell Castle. They were absolutely brilliant and everyone has asked where we found them. They successfully got everyone on the dancefloor. We had a row of kids playing air guitar closely followed by our parents!!! Fabulous all round sound and Tony has an exceptional voice. When you combine this with the extensive repetoire it's a brilliant show. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

  • We thought King Zorg were brilliant; they really got people up and dancing, and lots of our guests commented on how good they were. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a band for a wedding or any other function. We were very impressed. They also sent us a text message to say that they'd managed to deliver their equipment to the venue, which was really helpful for us. Our event was complicated by the fact that (i) the first wedding venue cancelled our reception after we'd sent out the invites and already booked the band/DJ, and (ii) it turned out that the Pope was visiting London on the afternoon of 18 September, together with rather a lot of protesters, and our new venue (116 Pall Mall) was right bang in the middle of the proposed Popemobiling and the protests - meaning that all the roads to the new venue were shut on the Saturday. Ali from Function Central was very helpful in trying to sort out the problems that we had; basically, he arranged for the band and DJ to drop their stuff off the night before, after their gigs, so that we wouldn't have any transport issues on the wedding day itself (and also that there would be one less thing for us to worry about!). Although this cost us a bit more money, it was much cheaper than hiring in all the equipment for the band and DJ, which was our only other option. So a massive thanks to Ali!

  • King Zorg were simply first class! We hired them for our wedding last summer and they were a big hit with all generations. Being able to have our first dance to a live band cover of our favourite song was so much better than playing it on an iPod! The band and lead singer constantly engaged our guests and their cover versions of both contemporary and classic songs were impressive. The vocals of the lead singer made him sound at times like the real thing and a number of our guests commented as such afterwards. We would highly recommend the band without hesitation.

  • We ended up having Sean Wolf and King Zorg for the wedding as Ol Blue Eyes couldn't fly back into the country I think? Both artists were fantastic! Very professional and had everyone up dancing, we had comments from everyone saying what a brilliant band and singer we had.

  • James and I hired King Zorg for our wedding and I can honestly say that it was the best decision we made, from the moment the band started the dance floor was full. We only gave King Zorg our first dance song choice a few weeks before the wedding and expected it to be played through an iPod, but we were thrilled when the band acutally performed the song live. Since the wedding we have had numerous people ask for their details. Thank you King Zorg for making our day.

  • King Zorg were truly fantastic. They surpassed all our expectations: they lead singer had a fantastic vocal range and was able to sing anything from Stevie Wonder, to Beyonce (and even rapped the Jay-Z part!). Everyone was on the dance floor from the moment the first dance ended until the time we had to leave the venue. In fact, our guests have not stopped complimenting us on the music! We would like to say a massive thank you to the band for making our night so much fun!

Function Central were also excellent: any queries I had were answered quickly and efficiently, the booking system was straightforward and stress free - being able to communicate by email (including receiving receipts etc) really helped. A massive thank you to you guys too!

  • King Zorg were absolutely perfect for our wedding, and were hugely accommodating in learning songs for our first dance (especially as we didn't make a final decision on which one until quite close to date). On the day itself the guys were hugely efficient in set up and there was no hassle at all, they were also very discreet in packing away, and were courteous, well presented and very professional. The play list is brilliant and they pitched the selection perfectly around some set piece songs we wanted played. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fantastic focal point to their evening celebrations. Organising through Function Central was also hassle free and great to be able to hear samples of the bands on the website. Thanks, Paul

  • We found the organisation of our band to be absolutely seamless and fuss free. The company were extremely professional. The band were friendly and played like demons. They rocked - we had a perfect wedding day and they definitely played a part in that.

Helen , Wedding, Gloucestershire, July 2009
  • King Zorg are a brilliant band who really got our guests dancing at our wedding reception. The guys played all sorts of songs that appealed to everyone from our first dance of Chasing Cars through to James Brown and Kings of Leon – and even Crazy in Love by Beyonce and Jay-z! They made our evening do especially memorable and we are so glad we booked them… thanks guys! Karla and Chris

I don’t really have any comments to make about your agency apart from the fact I found you extremely professional, friendly and courteous whenever I needed to contact you. First class service.

  • Hi Bev, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to both you and the band for the fantastic evening you gave us for our wedding day. We can't thank the band enough for being absolutely fantastic. I've never seen a wedding dance floor so busy for so long, a true testimony to their music and presence. Also, a huge thanks to them for letting my wife, Laura, play her saxophone with them, and for allowing another family friend to sing alongside them. Thanks again,

Gavin , Wedding, Essex, April 2009
  • King Zorg....... The guys played at my wedding in September 2008. Wow, they made our night. Our first dance 'Chasing Cars' was perfect, and then the dance floor exploded, our friends and family couldn't get enough. Everyone has asked us how we found out about them and have said they would go see them anytime at a gig. At the end of the set, everyone went mad for more, so I asked for Dakota, hubby's favourite song of all time. They said they hadn't played it for ages but did for us anyway and we couln't have asked for a better end to the night. Superb atmosphere....

Lisa , Wedding, Surrey, September 2008
  • Thank you for all of your help with our booking. King Zorg were amazing and we have not stopped receiving lovely messages from friends and family saying how good they were. There were a few points during the evening where guests thought a CD was on the quality was so good! A really friendly group, excellent music ……….everything we wished for ….perfect & made our day extra special!

Claire , Wedding, London, September 2008
  • Hi Tony, it's Cathy and Mike Scott here. We just wanted to say thank you for the performance that King Zorg put in for our wedding day (6th Sept). We thought you were excellent and we're really pleased we picked you. Loads of our guests have commented on how good you were and seemed pretty shocked that we managed to find you for our wedding. So hopefully there is some future business for you there, and who knows, we might book you again for an anniversay! Keep up the good work and can you say thanks to the rest of the band! We can't stress enough how good we thought you were! Well chuffed!

Cathy , Wedding, London, August 2008
  • Thank you so so much for being so fantastic at our wedding. You performed our favourite song and first dance, which you especially learn for us, 'You do something to me', Paul Weller, it was very moving for us. I danced all night long, along with almost all our guests - I still get comments about how fantastic the band were - and I respond 'I know' - thanks again!

Kate , Wedding, Sussex, July 2008
  • King Zorg were absolutely brilliant! Many people told me afterwards that they were the best wedding band they had heard. My only regret is that dinner took too long and the music was too short. We were forced to stop at 11pm so they didn't get to play for very long. Tony was charming and obliging throughout. Thankyou for making our evening swing

Victoria , Wedding, Essex, November 2007
  • A slightly belated email but please pass on my thanks to King Zorg, they were awesome and we have had nothing but compliments about them. I must also thank you for your help in the run up to the wedding and providing such fantastic entertainment, of course not forgetting Neil who I will email direct. The day was fantastic and both the band and Neil helped in making it the most amazing day so thank you to all of you. I will not hesitate to recommend you to family and friends.

Nina , Wedding, Surrey, September 2007
  • We hired King Zorg for our wedding in Cardiff July 2007......THEY WERE AWESOME!! All our guests couldn’t believe how good they were......one couple have hired them for their wedding in Feb 2008!! Tony the lead singer has a fantastic voice and the band as a whole sound really amazing! We were absolutely thrilled with our choice and would HIGHLY recommend them for any function...they topped off the most amazing day for us...thank you thank you thank you boys!!

    Mari, Wedding, Wales, July 2007
  • I just wanted to thank you all for a great evening, the band were first class and everyone had a really good night

Jill , Corporate Event, London, December 2006
  • We both wanted to email you and tell you how pleased we were with King Zorg's performance at our wedding on the 16 Sept 2006. We knew they would be good, but they exceeded all expectations. They played everything we love, and nothing we didn't want to hear. The band were really friendly, good sense of humor and just did the perfect job to make our day so special. The band were always going to be the key to this being the day of our dreams, and the day of our dreams it surely was. King Zorg, worth every penny and more, should be playing bigger crowds, very talented and rocked the socks off all our guests. Thanks to you and the band

    Chris, Wedding, Berkshire, September 2006
  • On behalf of all ranks of the 1st Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment I would like to thank King Zorg for an excellent performance on the 1st August 06. They were superb performers and had the dance floor rocking. I have had nothing but great feed back from all at the event.

I would not hesitate for a moment in recommending them to anyone else, indeed the Officers Mess are considering booking them for a future function. They were exactly what we required hitting the target audience between 18-40 (ish). Thank you once again for supplying the band and please pass on our thanks to them all

Tim , Warrant Officer, Suffolk, August 2006
  • King Zorg played all the latest tunes, plus the absolute classics and even got my gran up on the dance floor

Mr Shaw, Wedding, Essex, July 2005
  • I’m thinking of proposing; just so I can book these guys for my wedding

    M Prickett, Kent, June 2004
  • Those guys seem to know exactly when to up the tempo and most importantly, when not to play at all; a truly professional show.
