Lively Lipstar have been gigging anywhere and everywhere you can fit two girls and a PA since they were 14, playing at countless weddings, corporate events, hotels, private functions, pub and clubs. They can charm even the shyest audience into taking part in inflatable guitar competitions and singing along to their collection of over 400 high-quality backing tracks, belting out everything from Frank Sinatra to Guns n Roses and your requests. They can bring along two guitarists, a bass player and a drummer for extra punch at bigger events.

One member of the band started out as a classical singer, but moved on to record with girl bands and perform with Gina G. The other has a degree in vocals, has toured with Russell Watson and reached the semi-finals of BBC1’s Last Choir Standing with the prestigious ACM Gospel Choir. Together, Lipstar have sung backing vocals for Mick Ralphs (Bad Company, Mott the Hoople), Richard Hudson (The Strawbs, The Monks), Ali MacKenzie (The Birds) and Nick Simper (Deep Purple). They have graced plenty of formal events, such as the SMILE children’s charity fundraiser at Claridges Hotel in London, weddings at Old Luxters Barn in Henley-on-Thames and a Snow Polo tournament at Klosters ski resort in Switzerland.

What people say Help

  • We also booked ‘Lipstar’ through you, they too were completely professional and so very accommodating that they made the party really special. The band were friendly, really flexible with their remit and just so lovely to get along with – we were delighted! I will definitely keep coming back to you – it’s been really successful so far! Thank you.

  • Lipstar were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The dance-floor was packed all night long, with Lipstar quickly learning what kind of music our friends and family were enjoying. They interacted with the guests really well, and really got the party going. They were also brilliant with my 4 year old niece, allowing her onto the stage, giving her a microphone to pretend-sing into and generally making her night! She felt like a real pop star. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lipstar to anyone - they really made our wedding fantastic; and I would definitely hire them again if I were to host a party. They far exceeded our expectations.

  • Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Yes we all loved 'Lipstar'. We had no special requirements except something for everybody, and they delivered just that, we had guest from 21years to over 80. Everybody enjoyed them, thoroughly professional, they arrived and started on time, two lovely girls. I would definitely book them again.

  • I booked Lipstar for my wedding and we had such a fun night with them. Our first dance song was sung beautifully and the rest of the music that followed was great. A real mix of songs, old and new, and they appealed to everyone there - from the kids to the Grandparents. I really enjoyed getting up with my bridesmaids to sing a song with them and my husband and his best man loved the 'air guitars'- a great idea! They arrived on time and didn't cause us any hassle, just got on and did the job exceptionally well and made our evening really special. Thanks guys!

  • I have used Lipstar for company functions. On both occasions the music provided was excellent, professionally delivered and led by two very entertaining and talented girls. They were hugely popular with a varied set list and able to accommodate all requests; I know they had spin off from work from these two events. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

  • These girls really are party animals. Only the second time I've seen the act and I'm well impressed. They'd suit a wedding do just as they would suit a rock gig. Playing at a rock venue like ours they needed to rev up their act and this they did to some purpose. Both of the girls had decent range and vocals and are well worth catching when in your area. They hail from west Berkshire so should be seen soon. They give the impression that they enjoy what they're doing so good on 'em. Pick of the night, and there could have been many, was the audience choice that they did towards the end of the second set; The Rolling Stones Honky Tonk Women was quickly followed by Valerie which is quickly becoming a contemporary classic. Well done girls, see you soon.

  • Lipstar played at a product launch dinner dance event hosted by my company in February 2008. They were extremely pleasant and professional and kept our 250 clients entertained with three sets of live music; the first as background music during the dessert course then onto more lively songs for the rest of the evening, which had everyone dancing and singing. It was an energetic show and a great evening’s entertainment. I would recommend Lipstar and will use them again for future events.
