What people say Help

  • Living For The City were so fantastic. We booked them for our wedding following a recommendation and were absolutely thrilled with them. They played a great selection of songs, got the party atmosphere going and the dancefloor was full all night. We've had so many comments from our guests to say how fantastic they were. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

  • We were so happy we booked Living for the City for our wedding band. The band had a great vibe and the most incredible female vocals. She sang our first dance song, Alicia Keys 'Aint got you' perfectly; it was beautiful. As soon as we called our guests to the dance floor, everyone jumped up as the music was so good and the band created such a good atmosphere.

Everyone was asking us where we had found our band and after our wedding the firm I work for even requested the band for our annual ball as my colleagues who had attended the wedding recommended them so highly!

The band were also totally flexible and no-fuss; really helpful for a bride! I was contacted by Charlie in good time before the wedding so I felt that everything was taken care of. Very impressed!

  • We were slightly nervous about booking a band we hadn't heard live before, but Living For The City were first class from start to finish; a great repertoire of tunes expertly played. Lead vocals were superb. The jazz duo early on was just the ticket for some background music during the drinks reception, and as soon as the band came on later in the evening, the dance floor filled up and stayed full right until the end. Their energy was infectious and they really knew how to get the crowd going, we were genuinely thrilled with their performance. Since the wedding so many people have commented on how good the band was and we're really glad we chose Living For The City - we're not sure anyone else would have lived up to them! Not only was the music superb, but they were friendly and accommodating too, top marks all round. Thank you for helping make our wedding such an amazing day. Thanks again.

  • Living for the City played at our wedding for 120 guests. We thought they were fantastic and perfect for the occasion - everyone commented on how good they were. The band really made the evening and we were able to choose a playlist from their repertoire before hand which was great so we had some choice in what was played. All in all we were very happy customers and would highly recommend them. Function Central made finding and hiring a quality band for our wedding easy. The team were professional, responsive and helped with all our questions running up until the function. We would recommend Function Central to others and thought the service was excellent.

  • The band were brilliant. It's hard to convey just how brilliant they were via email but I'll have a go! Not only did they have comprehensive set list that fitted with our wedding and taste perfectly, they read the crowd just right and even fitted in a surprise performance for us! They were flexible, easy going and super friendly. The set up and break down was seamless and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone for their wedding or corporate party.

  • Living for the City was a very pleasant surprise, they’re even better than on the website! We booked a 9 piece Living for the City for a company off site meeting, they were very flexible and even learned a few 40`s music to cater for our themed party! The feedback from the team was so positive they still mentioned the band on our next off site meeting. They sounded amazing, vocals, the brass etc, we even had some beat boxing! I definitely recommend them!

  • The guys were absolutely amazing. The band's singer has a beautiful voice and great stage presence. She managed to get everyone up and dancing all night, making our wedding party so special and memorable. Guests have said it was one of the best bands they have seen perform at a wedding. Prior to the wedding, the band were very quick to reply to my numerous queries and offered advice and suggestions to make our day perfect. Their fantastic singer was a real pro and I am so glad we found her and booked this band. She will be a superstar one day, that I am sure!

  • Living for the City performed at my birthday party and they were absolutely fantastic. I had spoken with them beforehand to finalise a set list and to let them know the intended atmosphere of the evening and they were incredibly friendly and helpful. At my party they played a fantastic range of songs which appealed to all of my guests and they were just brilliant - I don't think there was one song that I didn't dance to! I received so many comments after my party from all my friends and family who said they thought the band were great. We had a brilliant night and that was partly down to the wicked music we had and dancing we did!

  • Living for the City were FAB, the highlight of our wedding entertainment, their repertoire was an eclectic mix of quality funk & disco, without the 'cheese'! They created a fantastic atmosphere and got everybody dancing! We would strongly recommend them, everyone thought they were amazing!
