Living For The City are a ridiculously talented London based wedding & party band comprised of young, full-time professionals. They play a varied mixture of songs, covering all eras and genres but specialise in floor-filling funk, soul and disco. From their basic 5 through to 11-piece line-up with the full complement of horns, backing vocals and percussion for those that have the space and budget! They can even offer a jazz set in the afternoon for a reduced price.

As graduates of some of London's most prestigious music schools, the band are not short on live playing experience and between them members have played a huge variety of gigs, including venues ranging from The London, Jazz Festival, to the O2 and the Shepherds Bush Empire. Members of the band have made appearances on T4 and This Morning, and have supported Tom Jones and Pixie Lott. With a wealth of experience between them, despite being only in their early twenties, they really know how to put on a show whatever the event and continue to impress at weddings, parties and corporate events.

The band are also expert jazz musicians and can also offer a 60 minute jazz set in the afternoon, during drinks or dinner, for a significantly discounted fee. See "booking options" for pricing. Jazz line-up options are as follows:

  • The guys were absolutely amazing. The band's singer has a beautiful voice and great stage presence. She managed to get everyone up and dancing all night, making our wedding party so special and memorable. Guests have said it was one of the best bands they have seen perform at a wedding.   • Living for the City performed at my birthday party and they were absolutely fantastic. I had spoken with them beforehand to finalise a set list and to let them know the intended atmosphere of the evening and they were incredibly friendly and helpful. At my party they played a fantastic range of songs which appealed to all of my guests and they were just brilliant - I don't think there was one song that I didn't dance to! I received so many comments after my party from all my friends and family who said they thought the band were great.
