Gifted Manchester based harpist with a repertoire ranging from classical to popular and folk music and extensive experience playing at weddings, hotels and restaurants across the UK. Also available as a flute/harp duo.
Maxine is a highly talented and vivacious harpist who began music at the age of 4. She started playing the Harp at the age of 9, due to the encouragement of her parents who were both members of the Halle Orchestra.
From 1989 Maxine has pursued a busy freelance career working with various Symphony and Ballet orchestras. She has been touring the UK with the Moscow City Ballet since 1992 and has also played with the English National Ballet and City Ballet of London. Her solo career includes numerous concertos and recitals and she specialises in weddings (the ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast, or a combination of these).
Flute/harp duo
Maxine is also available as part of a flute/harp duo with flautist, Lindsay. Lindsay studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and plays with various orchestras, including the Liverpool Sinfonia and the Welsh Chamber Orchestra and also enjoys a variety of solo and chamber work, which has led to performances on BBC Radio 3 and Radio Scotland (flute/harp clips available in the audio player to the right).
