Tasteful cocktail pianist Pete draws extensively on the classic American jazz songbook, including Cole Porter, Jerome Kern and Richard Rogers and is perfect for wedding receptions, dinners and other occasions requiring non-intrusive background music.
Pete studied jazz piano at the Royal Academy of Music in London in the early 90’s. Since then, he has been in high demand both as a solo performer, leading his own trio and as a member of his own jazz quartet. His corporate engagement experience includes Marks and Spencer’s and Whitbread PLC.
Pete's eclectic musical influences range from Steely Dan and Joni Mitchell to John Tavener and James MacMillan, as well as folk and ethnic traditions. As a jazz pianist, Pete's drawn inspiration from Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans as well as more contemporary such as John Taylor and Keith Jarrett. He has recently released his debut album with his new trio, and his playing has been described by revered jazz pianist & broadcaster Julian Joseph as "lucid, imaginative and communicative".
