What people say Help

  • Getting the band right for your wedding is a huge thing and with this band, we were not disappointed. They were above and beyond any and all expectations that we had. Their videos don’t do them justice as they are even better live!
They also have a great band personality, bringing huge energy to their whole performance and had every single person on their feet the whole way through. The best music choices that appealed to everyone were performed at the highest level with astounding vocals and soulful instrumentation.

    Adam, Wedding, Aberystwyth, April 2016
  • We along with our guests thought you were absolutely brilliant, we had so many positive comments the next day from relatives/friends! We were a bit concerned about people not getting up to dance (as this has happened at other weddings we’ve been to before), but we knew straight away that this would not be a problem as we could see how much everyone was enjoying themselves and we could tell that you were feeding off this too. Overall it was a great night and we cannot recommend you highly enough!

Mr & Mrs Amos, Wedding, Newquay, April 2015
  • Soul Circus were excellent performers and put on quite a show at our wedding. All the guests have been telling us how good the band was and that they were great at getting the party started.
Our original wedding band had let us down so we wanted to be sure that we had hired a quality band with good professionals. When booked we were sent a DVD of some of their performances so we went to see them perform live.
Seeing them perform live convinced us to go for the 7 piece (2singers and brass added) for our wedding day.
We were not disappointed and would definitely recommend Soul Circus to anyone having a wedding. Amazing voices, amazing musicianship and amazing band!

Mr & Mrs Harding, Newquay, April 2015
  • The band were fantastic and we are so glad we booked them for our special day. Many of our guests commented on how brilliant they were and asked for the name of the band. We explained that for two of our guests it was their birthday and they sang live a happy birthday to them which they loved! We cannot think of anything remotely negative to say about the band apart from we wish we could have heard them all night! Fantastic band - would recommend highly!

  • The description ‘function band’ really should be banned from use on acts’ publicity. It certainly does groups like Soul Circus no favours, conjuring up images of staid, elderly musicians wearing bow ties and drab formal attire. But, this band’s six-strong line-up here performed as good a showcase set I’ve seen for a long time from a so-called function outfit. The two lead female vocalists are top drawer, the musicians edgy and the spin they manage to put on really old numbers, like Proud Mary, is a lesson for other bands on the circuit.
Beforehand, you wouldn’t have predicted getting too excited by a function band, but Soul Circus were on top form.

  • Please once again thank the band for me. They were absolutely amazing. I looked around and there was not one person sitting down and there were men dancing who I didn't even think knew how to move!!! I had so many comments from my guests about how brilliant they were. There were a few members of the band that had changed since the first time we had seen them 4 years ago so wasn't sure if they were going to be as good... well I was wrong... the chemistry between them blew the roof off!

Amy, Wedding, Bognor Regis, August 2013
  • The band were truly incredible last night - please pass our thanks onto them all. People told us that it was the best band they had ever heard, and the atmosphere on the dance floor was incredible. Cannot thank you enough!!!

    Annie, Wedding, Salisbury, July 2013
  • Our huge thanks go to everyone in Soul Circus for two great concerts last weekend. All of us at the 2013 Babbacombe Festival Marquee were delighted to have you play at our incredible retro funk night on the Saturday and again at the Hanbury's Music Day on the Sunday. Both events were a wonderful success and the Festival Marquee came alive whenever you played. We not only appreciate the great music but also the ease of communication and planning prior to the event. Your professionalism made our job so much easier.

Event Organiser, Babbacombe Festival, Torquay, June 2013
  • Soul Circus truly exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased with the quality of the band and they certainly got everyone up and dancing all night, which was very important to us. They were definitely the right band for our wedding.

Neil, Wedding, Sout Milton, May 2013
  • We were very very satisfied. Soul Circus were amazing! They did exactly what I asked them to (just started playing when they were ready since we didn't want a first dance and didn't play any of the songs I requested they didn't). They were friendly and polite, weren't demanding or diva-ish and people couldn't stop telling me how wonderful they were. Several of my friends who are getting married in the future asked where I got them from.

The actual quality of the band was awesome, every song was one I love and it's just a shame the evening went so fast cos I could have listened and danced to so much more. I think everyone was sad when it was finally over!

    Heather, Wedding, Birmingham, June 2012
  • Everyone absolutely LOVED them! I've had so many people come up to me telling me how good they thought they were. They loved their song choices and how they got everyone on the dance floor. They arrived with plenty of time to set up as well which is always a bonus and were very good in letting us use some of their equipment for an open mic session beforehand. We think that the service you provide is excellent. Everything is well prepared leaving very little to worry about on the day. Thanks a lot Soul Circus!

Danny P., Wedding, Wiltshire, May 2012
  • The feedback for Soul Circus was very good and everybody was happy especially the F & B manager and this is a very good point. They told me that the singer was great also as well as all the band.

  • Hi Charlotte! A big, big thank you for being so amazing. Everyone said how good you were and enjoyed the music. A special thank you for learning the first dance for us, it was performed brilliantly and meant so much to us; it was one of the most emotional moments of the day.

    Leo B., Wedding, Gloucestershire
  • Sorry for the delay in sending this note... but just a quick email to say thanks to you and your band for such a fantastic performance at our wedding. As you can probably guess from the people on the dance floor, everyone loved Soul Cirucs... we had loads of comments and wouldn't be surprised if you get a few bookings as a result!
