Steel Pan Power

Cool and elegant technicians of the steel pan style, serving up a vibrant taste of the Caribbean that will add spice and a ray of sunshine to any event.

Steel Pan Power are passionate about their music and have been playing the pans for more than 25 years. They’ve developed their own innovative and exciting approach, playing everything from Caribbean calypso tunes and reggae to ballads and classical music, taking in Latin styles including merengue, soca and salsa along the way.

The group have travelled far and wide, playing not just in the UK but in Germany, Spain and the Ukraine. Further afield, they’ve played in North and South America and of course, in the Caribbean too.

Band members learned their craft playing in the Maestros Steel Orchestra in the mid-80s, this was one of the first steel bands in the UK and a regular feature of the Notting Hill Carnival. Since then, Steel Pan Power have played with or supported a number of other eminent steel bands including Pan Maestro, Sunjets, Steel & Strings, Tropikal Vizions, Caribbean Melody, and Sounds of Steel.

Steel pans have a warm, summery sound that’s great for any occasion, especially drinks receptions and outdoor events, and Steel Pan Power’s lively, sunny repertoire is just the thing to get that party started!
