Grab your dancing shoes for a rock 'n' roll party! The Big Beat are a 5-piece jive band with double bass guitar saxophone upright piano drums and vocals.

The Big Beat play classic jump jive blues swing and rock 'n' roll and create a big authentic 1950s style sound with a great party atmosphere which keeps the dance floor bouncing all night long. The release of their CD ‘Big Beat Boogie’ in Spring 2009 received fantastic reviews and international airplay. The songs in their party set are recognisable classics including tracks by Little Richard Bill Haley Elvis Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis as well as many others from the 1950s.

The band is appreciated by all ages your guests don’t need to be able to jive but they won’t be able to stand still for long. They are a group of experienced musicians who provide an energetic professional show and a really fun night for your guests.

The band can also tailor the event to best suit your needs. Extras include: a jive dance workshop for beginners, background music (all styles) through the PA instead of a DJ (at no extra cost), a rock n roll karaoke event with the Big Beat playing live as the house band while your guests get the chance to sing with a live band. The band are self-contained and provide all PA and lighting equipment necessary for the show.
