• Everybody adored the band on Saturday night. The weather was not perfect which scuppered things logistically but a great time was had by all. The guys looked great in all their gear and had everyone dancing despite the fact that we did not have a dance floor.

• Dear Sir, I am afraid that I have been a bit slow in writing to you for which I apologise. On the 5th December this year we hired the Merry-Makers Quintet for a Jamaican themed birthday party held at our house in West Sussex. I would like to thank you for arranging this booking and let you know that the band was absolutely superb. We have had countless comments about how good they were. It was a brilliant party, and they can take a fair bit of the credit for that, there were times when they had almost everybody there on the dance floor. A very friendly bunch of musicians whom I would not hesitate to book again if the situation arose. Please pass on our thanks to CJ and his band. Also they left one of their equipment trolleys at our house, and they are, of course, welcome to drop in and pick it up if any of the band are passing. Once again many thanks.

• The Merry-Makers were absolutely brilliant at my husband's surprise party. What lovely guys. All the arrangements made by your company were very clear and were carried out to the letter. All feedback is positive - great music - all 80 guests commented on how good the musicians were and how friendly despite the appalling weather on the evening. • The Merry-Makers Electric Steel Band proved to be a great success at our Caribbean Night function at Royal Epping Forest Golf Club. They produced a great sound and soon had people on the dance floor. The limbo dancing competition was also highly enjoyable (although one dancer had to be disqualified after breaking the pole!) I would recommend this group to any organization planning a similar event and we may well book them again in the future.

The band were brilliant, their music really got the party going with a swing and the great singing got everyone up on the dance floor. The Limbo dancing is a must, it created a great atmosphere and it really gave everyone a laugh. The band looked and sounded really authentic; it was a great night, I would recommend them to anyone. Mike at Function Central was really helpful when I made my initial enquiry about the band and was really prompt with responding to my various requests for different band combinations.
