The Paramounts are a stylish new wedding and party band, formed by three of Oxford's most up-and-coming musicians, able to cover everything from chilled-out lounge music to high energy, dance-floor filling classics.

Individually band members have toured with Supergrass and The Kin, supported acts including The Coral, Taylor Hawkins and The Coattail Riders, and jammed with Dave Grohl, Ramie Jaffee and Jesse Greene of Foo Fighters. In the process, they’ve toured extensively throughout Europe, America and the UK. Radio outings have included slots on XFM, BBC6 Music and BBC Oxford (their local station), MTM Radio, Amazing Radio, and more.

As The Paramounts they’ve performed more than 300 live shows in the last 2 years: highlights include performing a live set in LA for Kiefer Sutherland and supporting Bill Bailey at a charity event.

The band take pride in their authentic live sound – no backing tracks or recorded parts here. Two of the band are trained sound engineers, and it shows! If you book them for your event you can expect attention to detail, a friendly approach and an energetic performance.

The band offer an optional DJ service before between and after sets (using the latest Numark iDJ mixer to mix tracks between two iPods), for a fraction of the cost of hiring a separate DJ.

For the fullest possible sound the band can be augmented with second guitar to form a rocking 4-piece.

What people say Help

  • We hired these guys for our wedding a few months ago and they were just perfect. Both of us are musicians and we really couldn't fault them at all! The lead guitarist had so much feel in his playing and the whole package was totally worth the money. I had some details to arrange with the band before the wedding and they were very accommodating which helped us to relax and just focus on enjoying our special day. One thing I have to congratulate them on is getting my mother
on the dance floor! This is something I haven't seen in a long time! To sum up, book these guys with confidence, you wont be disappointed!

  • I saw these guys perform at a wedding a few weeks ago... honestly I was blown away by how good they were! They totally made the atmosphere of the whole evening and managed to get everybody on the dance floor! If you are looking for unique live music for your wedding please check them out!

  • What a night... We couldn't have asked for anything more! We requested a first dance and the guys did an amazing job and kept everyone entertained for the rest of the night. I especially loved their version of Stevie Wonder - Superstition. Aside from the live performance all the members are extremely polite and were great company throughout the evening. We recommend them very highly! Thanks again guys, we'll spread the word!

  • Just emailing to say a big thank you for making our wedding so special. My and my husband loved every minute of it! I found it really hard to choose a band for the wedding but I'm glad I chose you guys. I was so skeptical about booking a band as I know with today's technology you can make anyone sound good. This definitely wasn't the case. I loved the bands demos but the live versions were just a whole new level of amazing. I'm still getting some of the guests from the wedding telling me how amazing they thought you were. I'll be sure to pass on your details. For those thinking of booking the band please don't hesitate as they really are worth it!!
