What people say

  • I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how much we enjoyed The Receptionists at our wedding! They sounded great and everybody loved them. They were also very friendly and flexible just as you said.
Please can you forward my thanks to them for making our wedding so special.

  • Many thanks to The Receptionists for playing at our College Ball. The choice of music was fantastic and was made even better by the way it was played. Proof of this could be seen by both the packed dancefloor and the tapping feet of all those watching. Just as important (at least to our nervous entertainment booker) was that the band were punctual, professional and unbelievably cheerful throughout the whole night. Definitely recommended.

  • Hi Sara. Now that my computer's working again, I have to tell you how much we all enjoyed last Friday evening. Any party is like a cake, only as good as its ingredients and I'd like to think that we had found the perfect mix. But you provided that magic constituent, which made the evening memorable. You had only to see the smiling faces on the heaving dance floor to know that everyone was really enjoying themselves. I know that both of us danced the entire time you were playing, and I suspect the same can be said for most of the other 84 people there! You were FANTASTIC and made the evening a complete SUCCESS. Thank you so much.

  • What a great party! Perfect selection of dance music which had most people on their feet most of the time - some going! Many, many good things said about the band afterwards - like I said - great party! See you next year!

  • Just wanted to say thanks very much for organising the band. They were absolutely fantastic and went down a storm. I've had so many positive comments from people this week who thought the band really made the evening. Please pass on our thanks to Sara once again. Despite running late they were quick to set up and were easy and professional to deal with from start to finish. They are a credit to themselves and your agency. We were all really impressed. We enjoyed their performances (and I think they enjoyed themselves too!)
If I'm put in charge for organising next year's event, I'll definitely be in touch for a repeat booking!

  • We'd hired a wonderful band, The Receptionists, to play throughout the day, so during the chapel ceremony an acoustic version of 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' was sung by Sara. It was incredibly hard trying not to cry!

Tasmina Ellis, Wedding, Leicestershire, July 2009
  • We booked the band for our wedding. I can honestly say that I would recommend them to anyone - the band were obviously experienced at these kind of events and were incredibly flexible and professional right from the day we booked them to the end of the evening. Right from the time of booking the band, Sara made sure that all the necessary arrangements were made with regard to setting up and playing times, that side of things was very easy on our part. When the band started playing, I couldn't believe what a sophisticated sound they had. The extra brass players were excellent, and the singing was wonderful. The band managed to cater for everyone's tastes, right from our younger guests, right through to the older members of the audience who we had feared would go home after the dinner!I would strongly recommend this band to anyone who is looking for live entertainment at their wedding or other event...they are certainly the best band I have ever booked and I would not hesitate to book them again! Thanks again to you all.

  • The Receptionists played at our wedding and they were absolutely wonderful! The selection of music they played was brilliant - it really did suit everyone's tastes and we all had a wonderful time! The band was incredibly professional throughout the evening and all our guests commented on how lovely the singing was! The band also performed our first dance, which they learned especially for us, and it was beautiful. Thank you so much for making our day so special.

  • Just a quick note to say how pleased i was with the performance at our wedding 3 weeks ago! Everybody commented on how good you all were and i would definitely recommend you in future. Before you had even finished the first song my mum commented on how 'brilliant" you were! Thank you once again for making the evening so special, the atmosphere was electric!!
