The Shakers have brought their blues and soul-infused brand of high energy mainstream covers to literally hundreds of bars, weddings, private functions and parties in the UK over the past few years and are one of the most professional and respected function bands on the London private party circuit.

All members have impressive musical credentials, having either fronted or played with some of the best up and coming originals bands in London. Individually they have worked with Pete Doherty, Status Quo and Jesse Wood and toured, recorded or co-written songs with Toby Baker (BB King, Eric Clapton), Nicole Russo (The Brand New Heavies), Butch Thomas (Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Jaco Pastorias) and Kevin Sutherland (Lemar).

Previous clients include O2, Sky Media, Marks & Spencers, Ikea and Hewlett Packard at venues such as The Royal Festival Hall, The Roundhouse, Koko, Claridges Hotel and Troxy to name but a few.

For extra wow factor why not add horns to the line-up, creating a six piece band featuring sax and trumpet. The Shakers horn section have made several appearances on Jools Holland this year and are currently touring with Mumford and Sons. Other credits include The Fratellis, Hard-Fi, Beverley Knight, Cleo Laine and The BBC Big Band.

You can also add keyboards to create a five piece band for an even fuller sound, or for maximum impact book both the horn section and keyboards to create a seven piece!

  • The Shakers are fantastic!!! We hired them for our wedding and given the testimonials of our guests and what we witnessed these guys blew the roof off!!! Everyone was on the dance floor, every song was performed to perfection and we even had people asking for their CD!
