Based in Liverpool, members of The Sonics have performed all over the UK, throughout Europe and also in America, Canada and even China! Band members have played with top musicians including Linley Hamilton (of Van Morrison’s band), John Wilson (of Rory Gallagher’s Taste), and Greenday. Though all four band members are young, their combined gigging experience totals more than 50 years.
Popular with corporate clients, The Sonics have played for John Lewis, Diageo, Ford and Carcraft. They’ve performed at a wide variety of prestigious venues, including The Hilton Liverpool, Aintree Racecourse, and the Cavern Club. They’re also regulars on the holiday circuit and have played for Pontins, Butlins and Haven Holidays.
The Sonics give the classic 4-piece line-up of two singer/guitarists, bass and drums a new twist, with a guitar synth to add variety and texture – including brass and keyboard parts – which gives them sound few other 4-piece outfits can match.
With their funky rhythm section, great vocals and energetic performances, The Sonics can fill the dance floor at any event. The band’s wide-ranging repertoire caters for all tastes and ages, with hits from the 50s through to the present day. They’ll tailor their set list and volume levels to your requirements and are always adaptable and friendly.

We had our Wedding recently and were fortunate enough to have The Sonics provide a live set and DJ set afterwards. We were bowled over by how good these guys were live and really impressed by their general professionalism. They even went to the trouble of learning our favourite song to perform for our first dance, and it was absolutely fantastic! A great set, professionally carried out and performed by real musicians.
