Richard's 70th Birthday Party

The occasion of our event was my husband, Richard's, 70th birthday party. We held the party inside of a marquee at our home garden. We had a sit down lunch for 85 people which was wonderful.

We were extremely satisfied with Richard's performance. He was excellent and asked us for favourite tunes prior to the event which he played expertly.

It started at 1.30 pm in the afternoon, but went on until the early hours for a few stalwarts! His joint gift from all the guests was a single bottle of Petrus which, for a wine buff, left him stumped for words!

Richard and I chose a classy marquee to go along with our blue and white theme and decorated with vases of wild flowers on the tables to emphasise the countryside location.

We decided on booking Richard, a guitarist, for our live entertainment as we only wanted background music which he provided perfectly.

Some of our favourite moments of the day were seeing everyone enjoying themselves, the speeches that were given, and chatting to all of the guests.
