Profile
Based in Hertfordshire, Mike's sensitive guitar playing will provide the perfect atmosphere for events such as wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, dinners, parties, and corporate events.

Mike started playing at the age of six. After winning several arts competitions, he gained a music scholarship with the Amersham & Wycombe Music Centre, and had reached the final for the regional Young Musician of the Year by the age of twelve, which was aired live on the BBC. From this classical background, Mike went on to train at the University of Salford, gaining a degree in Popular Music and Recording.

Mike possesses the vast diversity of repertoire needed to accommodate the many different forms of function work. In addition, he has the ability to perform on request almost any song or piece, providing he has heard of it!

He has undertaken live session work in the UK for musicals such as 'Grease', 'Joseph' and 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas'.

He currently plays and writes songs for a highly rated original band called Polite Society, who have performed at various London venues as well as the Cambridge Folk Festival.

He is also a highly respected guitar teacher, with residencies at The Royal Masonic and St Clement Danes schools, as well as the Watford School of Music.

Testimonials
“Thanks to Mike for playing so beautifully at the wedding reception -
I'm so pleased that we booked him – much better than a harp!”
Mrs Caroline O'Reilly – Wedding Bride (April'05)

“Mike's imaginative choice of material and beautiful playing combined to create the perfect atmosphere at our wedding reception.”
Mr Neil Godley – Bride Groom (August'04)

îThank you so very much for playing so beautifully at our wedding on the 23rd. Everybody commented on how well you played and at what a special atmosphere your music gave to the ceremony. I am only sorry I wasn't in the room to hear more, but I really enjoyed the pieces you played during the signing of the register and especially appreciate you taking the time to learn Here Comes The Sun. It really wouldn't have been half as nice without you there and we are so pleased that you were!
Mrs H C (Bride) (July'05)

I was very pleased with Mike Georgiades and would like to thank him for the sympathetic and excellent service he provided. He played beautifully and I know that several people, including myself, expressed our pleasure at his playing.
Mr Derek Beham (Sept '05)

"Mike performed at our charity concert. He enthused the audience with his playing and we all felt like taking up the guitar after that!"
Hawridge & Cholesbury School Concert (July'04)

Mike played the guitar with great sensitivity and it was a pleasure to hear and see him play.î
Mrs Fiona Wilcock - Concert audience member (July'04)
