Profile
Based in Brighton in the UK, the Mina Morgans perform an eclectic mix of cover versions ranging from 1930's swing standards and jazz ballads through to classic rock'n'roll and contemporary chart hits. Highly regarded for their ability to switch effortlessly between musical styles, The Mina Morgans have also gained a reputation for their interpretations of the lesser known 'lost classic' and for their sometimes playful and irreverent take on many of today's popular hits.

Developing over a three year period, The Mina Morgans have evolved into a dynamic sought after act. Now, with a pool of established musicians on board, including Dajon Everett (Gomez), Henning Dietz (The Veils), Ross Hughes (Charlie Winston, Cosmo Bonsor, Cello Man), Craig Beedham (Guerilla Audio) and Dr. Guy Dollery, they are recognised as a band who can tailor their style and repertoire to the venue or their clients requirements.

‘Just a quick note to say that we really enjoyed the band at the wedding, we thought you were brilliant.  Thank you so much for doing Jack Johnson's song for our first dance - it was amazing. I know everybody had a great night and lots of guests commented on how good the band was. Thanks again.’
David and Morwenna - Wedding

‘George and Robin, who form The Mina Morgans, have been playing on a monthly basis for us for about two years. Every time they perform I can guarantee a brilliant night for our customers and a fully booked restaurant! We receive the most compliments when these two perform. We have a repertoire of about 30 different musicians and they are the favourites every time! The best nights we have had has been when they have played - you can bet the customers will be singing, interacting, dancing and asking for their favourite music requests before the night is through. They perform every cover beautifully. George has an amazing voice and Robin plays any and every song faultlessly. They create a unique atmosphere that I was looking for when I opened my venue, they really are that brilliant!’
Amanda Jones, Owner, MINT Restaurant and Music Bar, Brighton. Sept 2007.

The Mina Morgans are to put it simply, a joyful musical experience! For three years and more they have entertained audiences at Joogleberry on a regular basis with their blend of talented musicianship and well chosen repertoires.

From Bowie to Bacharach via the Beatles, Small Faces to the Scissor Sisters via Sam Cooke, these boys swing, boogie, rock and roll.Passionate performers all, they capture every crowd with a mix of divine vocals, great musical talent, and plenty of charm I would recommend them every time.
Sue Popper, Joogleberry Playhouse, Brighton

‘Thank you for playing at our wedding you were absolutely fantastic. All our friends and family thought you were great! Also, we appreciate that you learnt the song to our first dance - which you played brilliantly. Sorry about my terrible singing but I did enjoy myself!’
