Profile - One Night Stand (Bandaoke)
One Night Stand have developed a show which replaces the standard Karaoke machine with a live three-piece rock and roll group. We call it ‘Bandeoke’!
Having warmed the crowd up with a couple of numbers, the audience is presented with the songs available and are invited to place their name on a list. They then take the spotlight and join the band for their moment of glory. Using the provided lyrics they are given the full experience of playing front-person to a fully hardened touring band – complete with backing vocals! The set list is comprised of classic and current chart material ranging from indie and rock to 60's, 70's and 80's pop.
The band have been playing Bandeoke evenings across the UK in different venues for 2 years now and have had an excellent response especially at the student evenings. With fantastic vocal harmonies and a tight sound they deliver a repertoire tailor made to suit the occasion and give a performance guaranteed to get the crowd up and shaking it!
Testimonials:
Thought that the band were brilliant when they played at our wedding on 18th August, and all the guests commented on how good they were. They picked just the right mix of songs and the fact that they learnt the song for our first dance made it extra special. We would definately recommend them to anyone thinking of hiring a band!!

One Night Stand are the best covers band that has played at The Stage Door. We pride ourselves when it comes to hosting good quality live music and One Night Stand are no exception to this. They have played at The Stage Door a number of times and leave people asking for more. The songs they perform sound so close to the recorded versions that you need to do a double take to check it's not a CD! They are very professional and always arrive on time and are prepared. The quality of the equipment they use really enhances the show. They really know how to work the crowd not only through the way they perform the songs but through their own genuine enthusiasm. The set lists they create always please the crowd ranging from 60’s pop right up to The Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers. We are constantly asked by people when they are coming back to The Stage Door.

“My birthday bash was awesome when One Night Stand played. The energy these boys put out is infectious and they sound incredible. Pure rocking excellence!”
Troy Wheeler, Birthday, January 2007
As an events organiser in London I have used covers bands before but I now need to look no further. One Night Stand always deliver a technically imaculate, highly spirited and good humoured show that never leaves an audience unmoved. I have never seen another band who have put such effort into accurately portraying the tracks and they never cut any corners unlike many bands. All the parts are spot on. Close your eyes and I guarantee you could be listening to the real thing. Highly recommended.
