The Kicks were formed around 2 years ago from the remnants of 2 other successful cover bands, Eazy and One Night Stand.
Eazy were regulars at Butlins Holiday Resorts 60’s & 70’s weekends, supporting acts such as The Dreamers and Brian Poole. They performed a number of headline-grabbing sets at the Stage Showcase – securing them further work with large corporate clients as well as a season for Brittany Ferries.
One Night Stand had several years experience performing nationally, with an annual Scottish tour and regular wedding and function engagements.
The Kicks have provided top class entertainment for weddings, private functions, large corporate events as well as pubs and clubs.
Playing a diverse range of music covering every decade from the 50’s to the present day, The Kicks literally have something for every audience and every occasion.
Their enthusiastic and professional approach, along with their versatility and experience means that they never fail to fill a dance floor, engage an audience and delight their clients.
Testimonials:
“Wayne, just wanted to say thank you once again for your fantastic set last Friday. It really did make the evening special and I’m so glad I changed my mind about having a live band. Jean (our Long Service Award winner) was overwhelmed when you played ‘All The Time In The World’, especially when she found out you’d learned it just for her! Tom, our store manager, has also asked that I pass on his gratitude and I look forward to the possibility of working with you again on future events.”
Alyson Pole, Compliance Manager, Tesco Ltd.
“Thanks so much for your performance. I cannot tell you the amount of brilliant feedback I’ve had from staff and managers alike. I also wanted to thank you and the rest of the band for your help both before and during the event. Your choice of songs was excellent and I was amazed by the amount of people you managed to get dancing! Once again, thanks for a great night and I would have no hesitation in booking you guys again or recommending you to my friends.”
Sue Newcombe, Event Co-ordinator, Asda.
“I hired 'The Kicks' for my wedding last August - I have to say it was a difficult choice to make as my husband-to-be was a musician! They were brilliant - they got everyone, young and old up and dancing, and everyone loved it. They've got a really good selection of songs - and they even learnt one especially for the night so that made it really special. I'd definitely book them again - I've recommended them to quite a few people - they were great!
