Profile
The Bargain Beatles are four experienced musicians dedicated to recreating the sound, style and excitement of The Beatles in concert 1962-1966 and in the studio 1967-1970. The Bargain Beatles was formed in 2006 after founding member and Beatles fanatic Julian Pugsley failed to find a Beatles tribute band for his wedding that he could afford! The Bargain Beatles aims to provide an excellent value for money package.
The band pays close attention to detail, playing the songs in the original keys and featuring the trademark black collarless suits and, of course, mop-top wigs, for the early years of The Beatles' career, and the Abbey Road or Let It Be outfits for the later years. The Bargain Beatles aim to please and will tailor-make each performance to meet your requirements, to ensure you hear the songs special to you from 'Love Me Do' to 'Let It Be'. The band have played at the world famous Cavern Club and are fast gaining a reputation as one of the most authentic sound-a-like bands in the business.
The Bargain Beatles comes equipped with a fully PAT tested 900 Watt P.A. System (suitable for up to 150 people) and T-bar lighting with four spots and four floor lights. A highly professional outfit and incredible value for money, The Bargain Beatles is the perfect entertainment for your wedding, birthday party, anniversary, corporate event or celebration of any kind!
The Band
Julian Pugsley – John
The founder member of the band, Julian is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. A Beatles fan since he was ten years old (when his parents bought him a copy of 'The Beatles Ballads' on cassette), Julian's dreams came true when he played at the Cavern Club in 2006.
Joe Brown – Paul
Joe is a very accomplished all-round musician who currently plays in three bands! Joe has mastered the piano parts to every Beatles song and is an expert when it comes to harmony singing. The blend of Joe and Julian's voices is what make The Bargain Beatles special.
Paul Kench – George
It can be very confusing Paul being George at times! Paul is a fine guitar player who adopts a meticulous approach when transcribing George's parts. Paul has played in many of the major music venues in the country and carries a wealth of live performance experience.
Adi Gray – Ringo
Adi is our newest recruit. Adi also plays in a big band jazz act as well as in a covers band. He thinks Ringo is a highly under-rated drummer and is intent on copying his style to the letter. We are currently encouraging Adi to try out his first lead vocal performance!
