The Moonshiners are a multi-talented ceilidh band whose sole aim is creating a fun, upbeat atmosphere for dancing and merry-making for all!

The band’s musicians have been on the London folk club and session scene since they were teens, have recorded material with old-time virtuoso Kate Lissauer and even had a member voted “Folk Idol” of the year in 2007!

The core members of the band founded and run the highly successful Portland Folk Club in Cambridge, now into its second year. The club hosted an acoustic tent at the Cambridge Folk Festival last year.

For ceilidhs and barn dances the band can provide their own expert caller to lead guests through the steps.

Flexible, friendly and approachable, they will do their utmost to tailor their set to your requirements.
