A breath-taking, soulful duo – Almost Blue’s performances are influenced by greats such as Billie Holiday, Peggy Lee and Diana Krall. This husband and wife outfit combine intricate fingerstyle guitar arrangements with mellow, sweet and sensitive vocals to create a relaxed and intoxicating mood perfect for discerning listeners or as background to any function.

Almost Blue are purveyors of that romantic, yet cool jazz groove that says Breakfast at Tiffany's! Jed, Ticketed Event, North Shields

The duo's repertoire covers a range of soothing songbirds including Norah Jones, Stacey Kent and Nancy Wilson. They have glowing reviews from numerous clients and are the perfect soundtrack to your wedding.

Both members are classically-trained, have years of live performance experience and perform regularly throughout the North-East.

“Almost Blue were amazing, we were so glad that we stumbled upon their page! They were very organised before the event, and communication with them was very good. They listened carefully to our needs, and were very flexible with timings and organisation. On the evening, they were incredibly professional, yet also warm and friendly. Their performance was out of this world - perfect for the style and 'vibe' of the evening. They even learned one of my favourite jazz standards 'Autumn Leaves' and performed it for us on the evening - even better, they performed part of the song in French for my French-speaking wife - stunning! Thank you SO much for the extraordinary effort.”

Simon, Wedding Blessing in Gateshead, March 2018

“Everything about the performance and style of music was just what I was looking for. Not loud and brash but soft and gentle allowing those that wished to listen to listen, and those that wanted to chat to chat. Overall I was delighted, and would recommend them to anyone.”

Dave, 60th Birthday Party in Newcastle, November 2017

“Almost Blue are purveyors of that romantic, yet cool jazz groove that says Breakfast at Tiffany's, Blue Note LP covers, Paris in the rain, Birdland at dawn - you know the kind of thing.”

Jed, Ticketed Event in North Shields, February 2016
