The Transformers are four genteel types from Bath who burst into life under the faintest glimmer of a spotlight!

The band play classic songs from the Stones to the Scissor Sisters and can cater for any tastes from rock to reggae. The band's exuberant frontman has played in various original bands over the years and even had a record deal in the 90s, enjoying a great deal of success internationally and making many TV and radio appearances.

The songs chosen on the day created what we thought was the perfect atmosphere for our occasion. The quality of the band's music was first class! Andy, Wedding, Wales

Since meeting at music college, The Transfomers have played at countless pub, club and wedding gigs including performances at Glastonbury Festival and The Camden Jazz Cafe. Two members of the band work alongside Peter Gabriel among other world class artists.

This Somerset based function band are entertaining and full of enthusiasm, and offer a professional service with minimum fuss. They're always game for a bit of audience participation, and even offer their own "bandeoke" service if required - basically karaoke with a live band (see bandeoke set below

“The Transformers were the perfect choice as our wedding band. They were thoroughly accommodating when it came to our rather pedantic requests and the level of their communication before the event was spot on. Their set was expertly paced and their natural exuberance and energy ensured the dancefloor was the most popular place to be throughout the evening. None of our guests wanted them to finish, demanded an encore, and have all since commented how much they enjoyed the band. Arranging a band to play at our wedding through Function Central was a pleasure. At a time when things can easily prove stressful it was great to be able to relax in the knowledge that all of the details were being taken care of. Our instructions were all considered and delivered in a most professional manner and the communication with our dedicated contact was always efficient and friendly. Function Central will be the first place I visit when I next organise an event and I would recommend them to anybody.”

David, Wedding in Bath, May 2019

Katie & Patrick, Wedding, August 2018

“Top quality band, the guys were lovely and the music was fantastic.”

Kate, Corporate Christmas Party at Drayton Golf Club in Abingdon, December 2017

“The lads were delightful, they fitted in very well, they were very flexible and they played great music - what more can you ask of any act! The agency were very efficient and provided clear details of what to expect.”

Peter, Wedding Anniversary at Teignmouth Golf Club, December 2017

“We cannot thank The Transformers enough for the wonderful performance from our wedding day. We thought that the songs chosen on the day created what we thought was the perfect atmosphere for our occasion. All of our guests have commented on the music and how good they thought the music & band was. The quality of the band's music was first class, and we found the band members all very accommodating to our needs, which made one less thing to worry about on such a hectic day.”
