Young and energetic Yorkshire 3-piece with hard-hitting harmonies performing floor-fillers from Huey Lewis to Pharrell! FREE laptop DJ service included as standard.

With their undeniable instrumental talent, impeccable vocals and passionate performances, it's not surprising that Banzai are now Function Central's most frequently booked Yorkshire wedding and party band, clocking up hundreds of private events in the past two years alone.

Between them, the band boast a wealth of live performance experience; members have played with huge industry names such as Duran Duran, Ocean Colour Scene and The Gossip as well as having written and recorded for the BBC and Ministry of Sound.

Banzai can offer acoustic sets (solo or duo) for your ceremony, reception or wedding meal (at a reduced price and thereby saving you the cost of hiring additional musicians) and they also provide their laptop DJ service for FREE with every booking! The band are tirelessly flexible and happy to tailor their sets to your exact requirements.

Due to high demand, please expect an increase on the advertised guide fees, for all Saturdays from May to September.

What people say Help

  • Such a great act! Our guests were on their feet all night and they sounded really great!

Darren, Wedding at The Hallmark Hotel in Liverpool, August 2017
  • The band were terrific! They arrived on time, set up unobtrusively, stuck to the programme I had agreed with them and had everyone dancing throughout their time on stage.

Carol, Charity birthday event at The Wardrobe in Leeds, August 2017
  • The band nailed the set-list and got the party going. Everyone had a great time singing and dancing along to some great indie tunes. A 3-piece was perfect for our 100 person wedding + venue size.

Tim, Wedding at Hospitium, York, April 2017
  • Thank you so so much for playing our wedding on Thursday at the Hospitium, it was bloody brilliant! My feet still hurt from dancing! Just the best, everyone loved you - but hopefully you got that impression from the packed dance floor and encore demands!! Thank you, just brilliant.

    Rebecca, Wedding, York, April 2017
  • Thank you Banzai for performing at our wedding at Fen Farm everyone said how good you were, and you performed our first dance song just perfectly, just what we wanted, fantastic, highly recommended *****

    Rachel, Wedding, Colchester, April 2017
  • They were so quiet setting up and the music and sound was amazing. They also played our first dance beautifully!

    Hayley, Wedding, Harrogate, September 2016
  • Banzai were really impressive with their diversity and extensive repertoire. They were able to play our first dance song which was really nice and the guys were friendly and very well presented. Also, the band were very accommodating in adapting their set due to declining guest numbers during the night. We cannot thank them enough for playing at our wedding they were brilliant and I would highly recommend them!

    Carl, Wedding, Pontefract, December 2015
  • Banzai just got on with it and took the stress away from us! They covered the reception music, PA for informal speeches, DJ service and played super modern and funky live music. All executed in a very professional and friendly way and they always kept us quietly informed. Everyone complimented us on our choice of band and the (small) dance floor was always full!

    Angela, Wedding, Derbyshire, October 2015
  • Banzai were absolutely fantastic, I met them first when the band were just setting up, they were really friendly and they all introduced themselves. During the night all the guests loved them and lots of guests were asking who recommended them to us. Even since the wedding the majority of people who came to the night have said how great they were. We just wanted a band to entertain but the guys in the band were brilliant, everyone loved them and even when they were DJing between their sets they played the right songs at the right time to keep people up and dancing.

    Ross, Wedding, Northamptonshire, July 2015
  • Just a quick thank you for organising Banzai for us last Saturday. The band were excellent and true gents. They allowed the father of the bride to open with them on the first song which has made for an everlasting memory. Please pass on our best wishes and warmest thanks to the lads. They made our day perfect!

    Richard, Wedding, Sheffield, July 2015
  • I just wanted to say a massive thanks to Banzai for playing at our party a couple of weekends ago. You were incredible and so many of our guests have said how amazing you were. You were so professional and massively talented - we feel very lucky to have chosen you!

    Henry, Wedding, Hertfordshire, August 2014
  • Thanks Banzai, for a great show on Friday. We had an such a brilliant night and all our guests commented on how together you guys were playing.

Paul & Angela, Wedding, Huddersfield, June 2014
  • You guys were absolutely brilliant!

Rob, Private party, Oxted, June 2014
  • In a word - awesome. From the beginning the communication from the band was great & they were willing to fit in with our timings etc. The 2 sets they played that were brilliant and the dance-floor was packed from the first track to the final encore. I could not rate them more highly and our guests unanimously agree, the first comment many people have made is "the band were Fantastic" thanks guys!

    Martin, Wedding, Ipswich, September 2013
  • Smashed it! Old and young danced to every song! Unbeatable

    Daisy, Wedding, Berkshire, July 2013
