This experienced Scottish string quartet have played at hundreds of weddings and their repertoire stretches far beyond the classical, taking in jazz, pop and folk favourites, hymns and opera music.

Four seasoned professionals, The Romanza String Quartet have played at hundreds of weddings and corporate events across Scotland. Starting with favourite classical melodies, the quartet’s repertoire includes a wide range of other musical styles. Whether you’d like Bach or The Beatles, Mendelssohn or Gershwin, Schubert, Strauss or Sigur Ros – or all of those, and more – they’ll be happy to oblige. They also specialise in arrangements of traditional Scottish folk tunes, jigs and reels, which are always popular.

Members of the The Romanza String Quartet have played with a number of the most high-profile orchestras and musical ensembles in Scotland, including the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Music Players, the Scottish Opera and the Scottish Ballet, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. All four of them are graduates of the prestigious Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Between them, they have won a number of prizes and musical awards, taught music at several Scottish Universities, and toured and played at musical festivals throughout Europe.

The Romanza String Quartet will go out of their way to make your event a success, and they are always happy to arrange a special song for free. For those on tighter budgets they are also available as a string trio, and all of their musical arrangements are designed to work for the trio as well as the quartet.
