Their repertoire emphasises floor-filling classics from Aretha Franklin to Duffy, with a healthy dose of soul and Motown and a smattering of rock n roll. Their 5-piece line-up adds a keyboard player, allowing them to cover a whole range of piano and synth-based 70s, 80s & 00s material as well as classic rock and modern chart pop: something for everyone!

Collectively, the band can summon an impressive roll-call of session credits, including Chris Rea, Leo Sayer, Joan Armatrading and Elkie Brooks. As a band, they've entertained blue-chip clients, festival audiences in the thousands and kept smokers firmly indoors at clubs and pubs up and down the UK.

The band will work with the Function Central team to deliver an outstanding live show that fulfils your exact requirements. What people say Help

  • The Flavours were superb, we had a great night and they were the perfect wedding band - as lots of our guests have reminded us of since! They had people dancing during the sound check as it was sounding so good and they had a great repertoire of songs - which was much needed when a more creative plan for first dance went out the window and we could pick from their list a minute before starting!

  • We were absolutely delighted with The Flavours! We had been lucky enough to see them perform a couple of years ago at a friends wedding and we realised then that we needed to book them for our wedding too. We are so glad that we booked them as they were just as fantastic as we had remembered. Their sound is very funky, with lots of cool bass and lively beats all overlaid by the sultry voice of the lead singer (her voice is like velvet!) All of our guests commented on the band and the dance floor was full all night, which is testament to how good these guys are. I'm sad I won't be having a party like this again as I would not hesitate to book The Flavours again and I can't recommend them highly enough.

  • The Flavours played a fantastic jazz act throughout the dinner which was pitched beautifully and wasn't too load so that delegates couldn't speak to each other. Then after the dinner, they began their set which included fantastic floor fillers and the female vocalist was a really talented singer. The band were polite and listened to our requirements. Our chief exec gave us a big thumbs up after the performance!

  • Good performance by the band, helped to create a great atmosphere at our wedding. Many guests commented on how good the band were. The lead singer has an amazing voice and she was complimented by the band. Much better than having a DJ!

  • We were very impressed with the band. They arrived on time to set up and were very quiet and not distracting as we were still finishing off speeches etc. They interacted with our guests and got the crowd up dancing, especially in their second set. The singer had a brilliant voice and the music was great. Our guests really enjoyed the live music.

  • We were very happy with the band, they were on time, flexible and professional, as a musician myself, I was very pleased with the quality and musicians, and the music that was played. During their breaks the band were very approachable, and spent time talking to our guests, and answering questions. The also were kind enough to lend us an audio lead after they had gone, which we were extremely grateful for. Could not have been happier with them Ten Gold Stars!

  • The Flavours were an excellent addition to the evening! The band members were interactive, accommodating and a pleasure to have at the party. The music choice was appropriate for our company event, the likeness to the original tracks was commendable and the Band were very obliging - especially when our Senior Directors wanted to join in for a number or two! Thank you.

  • The Flavours were a great choice of band for our wedding. They were really friendly and the singer had a great voice. They certainly got the dance floor going with their mix of soul, motown, funk and disco but the highlight had to be the impromptu Fresh Prince rap whilst there was a lighting change! I would definitely recommend them for any event. Function Central were also really easy to deal with, loads of information was available through the website and any other questions were answered over the phone. I was a bit nervous about booking a band from the internet for my wedding but need not have worried as we had loads of compliments from our guests about how great our band was.

  • The Flavours made the evening extra special. We had loads of feedback from our friends and family who all thought they were fabulous... reflected in the fact the dance-floor was full most of the evening! All the band members were friendly and obliging. Your Agency were also very helpful and easy to deal with. We would definitely use Function Central again and we would recommend to friends and family.

  • The Flavours were excellent – far, far better than we could have imagined. They really made our wedding day extra special and we were touched that they were willing to learn and play a song for our first dance that wasn’t on their usual song list. Our guests thought they were fantastic; they helped get everyone on the dance floor and kept the atmosphere going.

  • The Flavours played at my husband's 40th Birthday Party on the 8th May 2010 and what a fantastic set of people they were. We have never booked a band before and with 130 guests of a mixed age group in our garden we were nervous! We didn't need to be, they were fantastic. With the singer's beautiful voice and her talented musicians behind her I don't think we could have picked anyone better. Everyone thought they were great and we would have no reservations in recommending them. They pitched the song choice and beat just perfect!! Thank you to so much for making our party! Your website was easy to use and navigate around, that made it easy for me, as I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to the internet. Booking was easy and straight forward and you provided us with a fantastically talented band, thank you.
