Hugely popular and fantastic value all-male 3-piece specializing in feel-good wedding & party classics. One of our most recommended acts!

Surrey party band Happy Daze have the coveted honour of being Function Central’s most frequently recommended band, and have performed at hundreds of weddings, corporate events and private parties. This talented and versatile 3-4 piece (not to be confused with their Kent-based namesakes), put their infectious energy into each and every performance and their drill is simple: the show crescendos, the crowd beg for encores and the next night they're back at it again!

The lads have been performing together since they were teenagers and the result is that much sought-after ‘tight but loose’ feel so many bands never achieve. Exactly how a guitar band can rock a crowd one minute with anthems from contemporary bands like Kings of Leon and Gnarls Barkley, and at the end of the evening have them arm-in-arm, kicking their legs to a big swing number like New York, New York is a trade secret. We could tell you, but we’d have to........you know the rest.

Band members have worked for Ronnie Wood, Rod Stewart, Primal Scream and the Cirque du Soleil, several West End theatre productions, and too many weddings to count! Together, they are a band of brothers – a bit like the Three Musketeers, but with another one: one for all, and all for an encore of Living On a Prayer!

Happy Daze are there to make your special day as much fun as possible, they are known for their flexibility and are happy to MC and introduce the cake cutting and first dance etc. They will also learn your first dance request if it is not on the usual list of songs. The band provide recorded music during live performance intervals and lighting upon request. They can also turn down for a mellower sound, and appear as an acoustic duo.

What people say Help

  • We asked Happy Daze to play at our wedding. We wanted something fun to get people up and dancing, and they certainly delivered an amazing evening. I don’t think we could have asked for more. They did us proud and made our wedding evening perfect. I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you so much.

  • Hi Beverley, I would like to thank yourself and most importantly Happy Daze for a fantastic evening on Friday. The band were perfect, everybody commented on their sound and the chosen music for the event. The evening was memorable thanks to you guys! Your company is well and truly in my phonebook for future events. Thanks again.

  • We have been to sex weddings in the past year (including our own) and we can say without a shadow of a doubt that Happydaze outshone any band that we have heard. Our two bridesmaids had also got married previously and commented that the band was indeed better than theirs (a tricky silence followed this statement).

Happydaze were excellent in the run up to the wedding. As we had certain constraints and with our wedding being held in the middle of nowhere, they were constantly in touch with the venue to ensure that our wishes were granted and that everything ran smoothly. On the actual day, the set up was so efficient that many people did not know they were there until the music started playing. The music selection was everything we had hoped for and more, something for all generations, classic rock, modern dance, indie, swing. There was not a single person who did not take the opportunity to hit the barn dance floor. The set was just the right amount of time allowing people to refresh and relax as well as dance their souls off. I am so glad that I booked the band. It really topped off an exceptional day in the Kent countryside.

  • We would just like to thank you all for performing at our recent Wedding. We booked you as a 3 piece ‘Bandeoke’ for our evening reception which might have been a little unusual for you guys bearing in mind how well recommended you came as a Rock Band in your own right and considering your own singing abilities! So many of our guests have commented on what a great band you were and how well you managed to achieve this combination considering the vastly differing skill set of your guest singers!

As I have said, this booking was probably a little unusual for you all and whilst we loved the novelty factor and light hearted nature a Bandeoke brought to our evening, we were both glad that there was still plenty of time where we all able to hear just you and the guys play as you really were as good as we were led to believe by Function Central and can totally understand why you are their most recommended act! Thanks once again for the excellent music and entertainment you were able to deliver in spades! Cheers guys and all the very best for the future.

  • I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Function Central and Happy Daze for providing the music for my 40th birthday. The band were fantastic and went out of their way to accommodate us in any way they could. They played a great variety of tunes and had everyone up on the dance floor. We all thought they were very accomplished musicians and I would not hesitate to recommend them. My husband is planning a 40th birthday party in Dec and we were thinking of asking them back!!!

Suzy, 40th Birthday Party, London, June 2011
  • Happy Daze (3-piece) were fantastic, very professional and friendly. The music they played was great and at the end of the night everyone wanted them to play more! We had an awesome night and so many people commented on how good the band were! I shall certainly recommend them to all the people I know and will look to book them again in the future.

  • They played a fantastic gig at our wedding. Right from the opening number of ‘Special Brew’ by Bad Manners (which went down a storm!) they kept the crowd on their feet. Their selection of songs to play was first rate, picking some excellent crowd-pleasers and they played with obvious enthusiasm. Not surprisingly we received many positive comments about the band. The night went by far too quickly, but I’m pleased to say both of us were on the dance floor strutting our stuff until the very end. Happy Daze are a great band and deserve to be booked every weekend. We’d definitely have them again.

  • Please pass a huge thank you to the band Happy Daze who played at my wedding on Saturday 18th Sept at the Carlton Mitre Hotel. They were so good! Really pleased, I received lots of great comments and will definitely be recommending them to friends. Thanks again.

    Lisa, Wedding, September 2010
  • We booked Happy Daze as a 3 piece and they were brilliant, we would definitely hire them again. They guaged our party crowd really well and we were really sorry when they finished and wished we'd booked them to play later and for longer! We'll know next time.

    Simone, Party, May 2010
  • Please pass on my huge thanks to all 4 guys of Happy Daze who played at my party. They were SUPERB. Their sound and repertoire was fantastic and SO many people have said how good they were and how can they book them. It was a great night topped by such an excellent band. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them. Thanks again.

  • We hired Happy Daze for a Christmas function for 120 people and they were a great addition to the night. Our budget was tight and we were initially worried about only having a 3 piece band but they more than filled the stage and the room and got everyone dancing. Although this was a corporate function, we have now passed their details onto several of the guests who are organising their own weddings/parties and were really impressed by the band on the night. We had a few delays on the night – food, guests arriving etc but they were very adaptable. In addition the agency was prompt, clear and helpful. There were no hidden charges, no cancellations and no surprises!

  • Hi Ali I just wanted to express my gratitude and say what a great band the Happydaze were at our wedding. Everybody loved them and it made the day very special. In fact I was so nervous it's the only bit I can really remember well. I have texted Sam also but not sure if it got there so I included it below incase you had his email.

  • Hi,
I would just like to thank Happy Daze for playing at our wedding last week. From the moment they kicked off their set, the dance floor was filled with all ages, young and old. Their playlist was just right and even allowed for a couple of requests. We've had lots of guests telling us how great the band were and they really did help our wedding go down a storm and it also looked like the band were enjoying themselves too

. Thanks again.

    Madeline, Wedding, London, October 2009
  • We would be happy to give Happy Daze a reference, we were delighted on their performance on the evening, they did a great job in playing songs we selected and our “last dance song” was perfect. All of our guests commented on how excellent they were and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them and would like to actually see them again playing! They were value for money and perfect for our event as we wanted an “alternative” band to reflect music we wanted to be played. One of the reasons we chose them was because they were not a local / wedding band and this was defiantly reflected and commented on – 100% what we wanted, thank you!

Claire and Martin, Wedding, Bath, October 2009
  • Just a quick email to say a big thank you to you and the guys, the music was superb, everyone enjoyed themselves and I was very with my choice of band, for sure. We got lots of compliments for the band so I know everyone enjoyed you guys and a few mentioned that they are considering using you guys for parties/weddings etc. Take care and hopefully see you again.

M Smith, Wedding, London, September 2009
  • Just to thank you for playing at Ian’s 60th in September. We had a fantastic evening & loads of people have commented on “how good the band were”. The sound level was just right and the music selection was great. We thoroughly enjoyed dancing as did our friends & if we ever have another party back in the UK we will be on the phone straight away!

Ian, 60th Party, Berkshire, September 2009
  • So sorry for the delay, I have been without internet for a few weeks due to moving house! I would be happy to provide feedback on happy daze. They were absolutely fantastic at our wedding and everyone loved them. They played the tracks we had requested, and had everyone dancing from the start. They are full of charisma and really made the party. They even did one song and let the bar maid sing along with them. They learned the song that we requested as our first dance perfectly and it was really special. The booking system with function central was very easy, and the service they provided was fantastic. Thanks very much, I will definitely be recommending both happy daze and function central in the future!!

H Bill, Wedding, Surrey, July 2009
  • We were really pleased to have booked Happy Daze. They provided the perfect ending to our wedding party and TOTALLY ROCKED. They mixed up recent pop and rock with 70s disco classics, giving us the perfect set for our wedding crowd. Their energetic and uplifting performance filled the dance floor from start to finish. Also, they caught the mood of the crowd with their improvised Michael Jackson cover following the king of pop’s untimely demise the day before. They performed Beat It with a guitar solo by Sam that put Eddie van Halen’s original in the shade. We were very comfortable with all of the arrangements. They contacted us in advance, arranged the first dance that we wanted and were efficient and well organised on the night. I would recommend them to anyone. And Function Central worked very smoothly. We got a very quick phone reply to our website query and the contract was put in place very efficiently. No quibbles. Your listing of bands was more comprehensive and useful (especially the downloadable tracks) than any other booking agency.

  • I am more than happy to provide feedback for Function Central and a testimonial for the band.

Function Central was a perfect for my requirements. The site provided a great selection of acts to choose from and allowed direct communication with the bands to establish suitability and availability. I would recommend Function Central to anyone who is organising an event a wants a choice of great acts for the musical entertainment.

Happy Daze were fantastic and absolutely made the evening. Not only are they are great musicians who played a great selection of songs but they also jammed and improvised to really get the the audience going. I would highly recommend the group for any occasion. Thanks guys.

N Rae, Wedding, Sussex, July 2009
  • Absolutely fantastic. A great bunch of guys who had everyone at our wedding on the floor with a varied range of excellent music. The lead singers voice is excellent and I could listen to him all night. They worked around a difficult venue with a 70 decibel sound restriction - despite this they managed to create a great atmosphere that I am sure not many bands could have pulled off. Would definitely recommend and indeed we will be trying to book them again for our works xmas do where hopefully they can pump up the volume a bit!. If you want anything else let me know as they were really great guys. I was so nervous that it would be a damp squib due to the low sound level restriction but they took it all in their stride and still managed to have everyone dancing.

Jo Cole, Wedding, Kent, August 2008
  • Thanks for your help in getting the lads at Happy Daze sorted out for our wedding. Could you please pass on our thanks to Sam and the rest of Happy Daze for putting on a great couple of sets at our wedding on the 19th. Everyone I've spoken to since the wedding has mentioned what a fantastic group they are and a few have also commented on how well they managed to carry the performance of my best man on the drums for the couple of songs he got hold of the sticks!! Thanks again.

    Alan, Wedding, Berkshire, July 2008
  • Hi Mike, we'd be very happy to give them a good testimonial, they were absolutely fantastic! They understood the vibe of the audience and went along with it, and they literally had the room shaking and rocking with everyone dancing (admittedly it was on a boat!) We'd recommend them to anyone who was looking for a band to get everyone on the dance floor with some good rock tunes. Hope that helps!

    Fern, Wedding, London, July 2008
  • I have been meaning to email you for months to say how fantastic 'Happy Daze' were at our party in June. They played brilliantly and really made the party rock! We had a lot of our guests raving about how great they were. They were also very pleasant to deal with and adaptable to requests! We were a little nervous booking a band off the internet but would definitely recommend them (and your very efficient site) to anyone.

    Jane, Wedding, Gloucestershire, June 2008
  • We just wanted to let you know that Alex and the guys were absolutely brilliant when they played at our wedding reception at Highfield Park on April 12th, and they 'made' our evening: the dance floor was packed (with all ages) the entire night. Even their iPod selection was genius, and our friends are still talking about them two weeks later. So a big thank you to Function Central for a great service, and an even bigger thank you to Alex and Happy Daze, who, incidentally, would be cheap at twice the price!!

    Matt, Wedding, Hertfordshire, April 2008
  • Mike, just a note to say that the band went down really well on Saturday with the dance floor kept full with 18 to 50 year olds! Everyone said what a great band they were and how they had made the party. As the organiser I also found Sam and the others extremely helpful and flexible. Please pass on my thanks.

Toby, Charity event, Surrey, April 2008
  • Hello Mike, thanks so much for organising Happy Daze at our wedding back in August. There music was amazing and such nice lads to go with it. Whatever request we threw at them they just played it. A very professional band and I would recommend them to anyone. A number of our guests will also be recommending them to their friends, so I hope something comes of it. Thanks again,

    Richard, Wedding, London, August 2007
  • I thought I would drop you a quick line to tell you that we had a highly successful party last Saturday. A large contributory factor was "Happy Daze" who were absolutely superb. As promised they played a huge variety of lively rocky covers , both classics and new .They kept the dance floor full all night which was just what we set out to do . They are top quality musicians and we were so pleased to have them at our special event. Please pass on our thanks to the lads....they were great!!

    Martin, Wedding, London, June 2007
  • An explosion of rock 'n' roll energy ... very uplifting gig experience.

    Giles T. , Newspaper, Sussex, August 2006
  • I was very pleasantly surprised to see a band breath life and energy into a broad range of crowd pleasing covers. Good work.
