Unique energetic, dynamic female electric string quartet featuring four of London's top string players.
Graduates of the Royal Academy and Royal College of Music in London, Sirena have been in demand in countries throughout the world including performances of their electric crossover show as headline act in Germany, Italy, France, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, the UK and for the Sheiks in Dubai.
Sirena were the featured string quartet on two European tours with Gnarls Barkley, have performed with P Diddy at Wembley Stadium, with Alfie Boe on Parkinson, Mika at Brixton Academy, Maximo Park at Royal Albert Hall, Yo La Tengo at Roundhouse, Mutya, Michael Buble and Hard Fi, featured as the strings in Mark Ronson's video Valerie and recorded with Dutch X Factor winner Lisa Haiduik and the Brand New Heavies. Sirena have also completed a European tour as part of Simply Red's string section and performed in all of the major venues in the UK and much of Europe.
Corporate and TV work includes the Excite Awards supporting Girls Aloud, the La Dolce Vita Ball in London supporting Javine and Billy Ocean and at ICC in Birmingham sharing the headline slot with Myleene Klass. They have featured on many TV shows including BBC1s Later With Jools Holland, Jonathan Ross, Live At Abbey Road, Channel 4s T4 Special and BBC Radio1.
Typically the quartet are booked for both dinner and post-dinner entertainment. During dinner they provide light classical and popular standards with all the girls seated creating a classy ambience. At the end of dinner they change costumes and return with an explosive audience grabbing 20 minute set. This is performed with all the girls (including cellist) standing up and incorporates exciting choreography and specially written backing tracks featuring drums and guitar. The girls use specially designed wireless electric instruments which allows them to move into the audience. Sirena can be booked to perform a classical dinner set as background music, or the dynamic electric show on its own. However, we would recommend that booking both shows allows you to deliver the element of surprise with the second set really raising the temperature bringing the audience to its feet, with slick choreography and a performance that is packed with energy. Sirena also sing, making them extremely unique as a quartet.
