Male-fronted Liverpool 5-piece offering hits from the fifties to the present at unbelievable prices!

The band's three accomplished singers alternate lead and share tight harmonies to provide a big, versatile vocal sound, with keyboards, electric and acoustic guitars helping to recreate a wide range of crowd-pleasing floor fillers. With a particular emphasis on 80s & 90s pop, Britpop, indie and rock, members of The Different Lights have performed in leading venues all over the UK and Europe supporting the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, The Libertines, The Buzzocks, The Stranglers, Juliet Lewis and even Tony Christie! They have recently appeared on BBC Radio Merseyside, and have vast experience of playing weddings and private events of all shapes and sizes.

The aim of The Different Lights is simple – to fill your dancefloor, delight your guests and help make your event fantastically memorable. To do this, this energetic, stylish band belt out 80s & 90s pop from acts such as U2, Prince, Deacon Blue, Blur, Oasis and Ocean Colour Scene, classic hits from the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones & Otis Redding, right through to recent smashes from Amy Winehouse, The Killers, The Arctic Monkeys, Take That and more, ensuring that guests of all ages will be strutting their stuff!

The band can also provide acoustic background options in varying line-ups, and are comfortable delivering a ‘Rat Pack’ style piano and vocal set, through to more classic pop, soul and rock in a stripped back, ‘Live Lounge’ fashion.

What people say Help

  • We just wanted to say thank you so much for such an amazing performance at our wedding. We put our trust in you to choose the play list and we were not disappointed - every song had our guests on the dancefloor and we couldn't have wished for better entertainment. We couldn't believe the amount of guests who commented on the music, saying it was one of the best weddings they'd been to because the band was so great. Three friends have already been in touch asking for your number because they want you at their wedding, and we won't hesitate in recommending you to anyone looking for a first class band. Thank you for making our wedding reception the best party we have ever been to!

  • The Different Lights’s set at our Wedding recently was a roaring success. We booked them after seeing them at another event and were thrilled with the approachability and communication we enjoyed throughout the planning stage. We had a special first dance and the band learnt the song to play for us, which gave us a much more personal experience. They were also good enough to allow a family member to join in with the performance! The song list was broad and fit our requirements and tastes perfectly and went down well with all of the guests. To this day we still get compliments on the band, and have recommended them to many of our friends. We made a great choice in The Different Lights and hope we can use them next time we have an excuse for a party!

  • We were extremely lucky to have this fabulous band at our wedding. They paid attention to detail so that the songs were perfect for the occasion and personal to us. Our guests strutted their stuff all night and we'll never forget the final song - a Beatles medley culminating in Hey Jude. All of our guests danced in a circle around us in what was a fabulous end to a perfect day. The Different Lights did us proud that night, a number of friends and family still say its the best wedding entertainment they have experienced

  • We'd really like to thank The Different Lights for making our big day so special. It wouldn't have been the same without them, and all of our guests commented on how great they were. The range of music was excellent, as was the level of energy they created, and we were really impressed that they were more than happy to learn new tracks in order to satisfy specific requests. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

  • We just wanted to thank you for putting on such a wonderful show at our wedding. You kept the dancefloor full and bouncing and created great atmosphere for us! Learning and performing the song for the first dance for us was a brilliant touch and really made it all the more memorable. All of our guests were raving about you and we’re so pleased you could help make our day so perfect. Thank you!

  • Lads – what a performance! We knew you were good as you’d been so strongly recommended, but we didn’t realise how good! Every song you played was a stormer, and our guests loved it – as you could probably tell from all thw dancing! You made ours the most enjoyable wedding we’ve ever been to, and we’re so grateful. We’ve already been asked for your contact details by some of our guests, so hopefully we’ll get to see you again soon. Thanks again, you were superb.
