The Files are one of the hottest covers bands on the circuit, backing X Factor vocal expert Dave Laudat for his live appearances and making weddings, corporate events and parties uniquely memorable. Their repertoire spans every musical style from the sixties right up to today, from Outcast to Elvis and Hendrix to Electric Six.
They are one of our most experienced bands on the function circuit: their guitarist has touring, recording and producing credits ranging from Belinda Carlisle to Motörhead, and their drummer regularly graces the most prestigious venues in the world with bands such as Blondie and Toto. Their bass player has toured all the way across America and is racking up a vast number of recording credits.
Their guitarist has been refining his trademark unique sound since he was a teenager, and can often be seen working with the latest girl band or producing the next big Russian pop band when he isn’t touring.

What people say
The band were brilliant, they had all the guest up and dancing and really made the evening reception a great success. The songs they played were excellent and everyone commented on how good the band was. Would definitely recommend and use again!
We were so pleased with The Files, they had the whole room dancing it was like being at a concert! We would have no problem recommending them in fact several guests asked where we found them. We are hoping to go to see them perform again soon.
We were so pleased with the Files, they had everyone dancing the whole night and they caused no hassle at all, which is exactly what you want as a bride. They were really polite and professional and got all the songs we had requested for the DJ set. For us one of the priorities for our wedding was to have a really good party and to have everyone on the dance floor and that's exactly what we got with the Files. A lot of people were commenting on how good they were and we couldn't be more pleased.
Excellent! I must admit that as I was getting married it was a big day so many other things on my mind but I only have positive memories. First dance performed brilliantly as well as some other I asked for including a terrific cover of Hey Ya. Quite a few people mentioned how good the band were! Very professional and friendly and clearly great musicians.
A massive thank you to The Files, who played at our party on Saturday night. Absolutely fantastic, amazing feedback! Hope to have them back next year!
We were very happy with the act. They contacted us before the day with all the details we needed and stayed in touch via e-mail to answer further queries. On the day, they arrived and set themselves up, leaving us to get on with our day. Their three sets were excellent and they played our playlist in between. Very professional, great playlist, top band.
Very professional, very accommodating, they just arrived, set up and played awesome music - everyone said they were brilliant and really made the evening special. My advice to anyone who is thinking about booking them is to stop thinking and start booking!
Utterly fantastic 10/10. What a great group of really talented musicians. Couldn't single any one of the four out as the singer, both guitarists and drummer were great. I want to book them again one day! 100% recommended. Sounded better than the original tracks. So pleased!
They absolutely made our event very special and memorable for all the right reasons!
The Files were absolutely incredible. From our soft-rock first dance to the stadium anthems they belted out at the end of the set, their covers were indistinguishable from the real versions. Absolute credit to the boys - they had everyone dancing all night long, were consummate professionals, and played impeccably. Highly recommended.
The band were excellent and we had lots of comments fom guests both on the night and after saying how good they were. The landlady also said how good they were and she often books bands for her pub.
The Files rounded off our perfect day. They were thoroughly professionally from set up to finish; they judged the songs very well and kept our guests on the dance floor all evening.
The performance was excellent; the guys even learnt a Metallica song that we requested as our first dance. We received numerous comments from guests about the quality and professionalism of the band and would therefore have no hesitation in recommending them. Many thanks to all the band members for helping to make our wedding celebration so special.
Having done much research on the internet we eventually came across “The Files” through Function Central’s web site. From the first enquiry to confirmation of the booking we were very pleased with the level of service and help that Function Central gave us in choosing the right band.
The Files are definitely a band for those who appreciate good music played excellently. A very talented group of musicians and it shows on stage. They played two excellent sets to the great enjoyment of the audience and I heard nothing but praise for the quality and selection of the set. I would happily hire them again.
The Files were quite simply amazing. The dance floor was packed all night. We really appreciated how flexible the band were to timings when our original timetable went out of the window - they were very relaxed and happy to fit with what worked best for us, which was so appreciated on the day. I would definitely recommend the Files to anyone looking for a band to play at their wedding.
Ali and Beverley at Function Central were brilliant. They were both incredibly helpful in suggesting a band that would be just right for the occasion and always provided a quick response to any questions about the booking process. There is also a far better selection of competitively priced acts on the Function Central website than any other site that we looked at. I wouldn’t hesitate to book through Function Central again and have already recommended the site to several friends.
Just a quick note to say, thank you to you both for your help in booking the band and DJ for our wedding. They were totally professional and absolutely fabulous! The DJ playes all our old favourites and The Files were outstanding! We were blown away by them really, many of our guests asked who the band were and where we found them. We would definately book them again. Thanks again for making everything so easy!
OH MY GOD!!! The band were awesome!!! I'm sure Christine (the Bride) will be dropping Ali a quick e-mail to say thanks and everything, but thought I would let you know too, just in case you speak to him soon! Fab band loads of people were commenting on how good they were! Only bad point was that they took ages to set up so music didn't get going til 8.15… but otherwise all good!
Thanks for all your help with this!
The Files were excellent, they played great music and everyone had a brilliant time. Many of our guests commented on how good their performance was. They really made our evening.
I just wanted to say a big thank you once again for being absolutely excellent on our wedding night. You filled the dancefloor all night which is just what we were hoping for, and you were so good I hardly left the dancefloor to greet our guests! You certainly made our evening what it was and so many of our guests commented on how fantastic you were. I am so glad we managed to find you and I have no doubt I will see you at one of my friends weddings in the very near future. Thanks once again, you were awesome.
Band were superb with a great mix of music that had everyone up dancing. I have received so many comments from our wedding guests about how great the band were.
The Files were amazing and we would not hesitate to book them again. You also provided us with excellent service and we will use your services again in the future.
The band were excellent, everybody said what a great time they had. They made the evening so special. Not one person was sitting. All very professional service.
I hope you can pass on my thanks to The Files for their performance at our wedding on March 10th. Many of our guests remarked on how fantastic they were and my husband and I wholeheartedly agree. They were professional, friendly and also very tolerant of at least 1 drunken friend attempting to steal the mike (our apologies about that!).
Absolutely brilliant. We didn't want them to stop playing!
