Originally from the North West, they are now based in deepest darkest Camden where they cut their teeth with various hotly-tipped original projects.
Their singer has an impressive résumé and has performed with Guy Garvey, Kate Rusby, Martin Simpson and two-time 'Folk Musician of The Year,' Andy Cutting. He has worked extensively behind the scenes at Live Earth, One Big Weekend, Cambridge Folk Festival and occasionally on Radio 2, and is currently employed by EMI as a song-writer for up-and-coming artists.
The band come fully equipped with state of the art PA, lighting and separate sound engineer/DJ Liam. Liam is also a well regarded DJ on the London and Ibiza club circuit with regular slots at Koko, The Groucho Club, Fabric and Pacha, and can offer a professional party DJ service alongside the band for an extra charge. His passion is infectious and he effortlessly keeps the dance floor rocking between sets with a diverse smorgasbord of 60-00s classics. This DJ service is far superior to an unmanned iPod service, and costs significantly less than hiring in a separate DJ. Check out our gallery picture of Liam in action.
The In-Laws are always friendly, professional and easy to work with and we are delighted to represent them on an exclusive basis.

Becc and Nick, Wedding, Kent, October 2011Just a quick note to thank the In Laws for playing at our wedding on October the 8th in Kent. They were SENSATIONAL. Everyone commented on how great they were, including the photographer, who said he'd been to over 200 weddings, and they were a cut above! One of our neighbours has decided to have a party just to have them play at it! Everyone was dancing all evening, and the band arrived, set up and packed away with absolutely no fuss, interruptions or difficulties. Please pass on our thanks to them, they really were absolutely wonderous.

Vanessa, Wedding, Dorset, October 2011I would highly recommend the In-Laws and DJ Liam! They were punctual, smart and entertained our guests who are still taking about them 2 months on. Great lead vocals and a wide variety on their reportoire. It was also nice to have the bands intervals filled with the DJ who was also fantastic and played my requests I gave prior to the day. They just topped off the best day of my life and I would like to say a massive thank you!
We also received a perfect service from Function Central. Had no problems with corresponding with them and very helpful! Will use again if needed. -
Kate and Kenny, Wedding, Christchurch, August 2011Hi Alistair, just a quick email before we jet off to Italy for 2 weeks on our honeymoon. We had the Inlaws play our wedding on Saturday and I couldn't go away without a quick thank you. They were absolutely amazing. They were prompt, quick at setting up. Polite, very easy to please according to our venue organisers. They chatted and socialized with our guests and helped organize me and Kate with first dance etc. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Will kept me informed of everything they were doing. And now onto the important part, the music. I don't know enough superlatives to describe them. They are a The In-Laws are a very talented group, not a missed beat and not a dropped note. Judging by the packed dance floor they read our crowd well and played exactly what they wanted. They made our evening, could you please pass on both mine and Kate's thanks to all the boys. Thanks again guys, you rocked our wedding. Many thanks!

Dejan and Vicky, Wedding, Surrey, August 2011The In Laws played at our wedding in Nonsuch Mansion, Cheam on 12 Aug 2011. Just wanted to drop a note that they were fantastic, sounded great and really got the people dancing...everyone loved them! Please pass on our thanks to them. I've also attached a few photos from the wedding photographer which they might enjoy.

Jo, Wedding, Kent, June 2011The In-Laws were amazing! They were not only a brilliant act who got the crowd going but they were a group of really nice guys - a pleasure to work with - they took time to talk to me in weeks leading up to the event and understood what we were looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to book them again.
-
James, Wedding, West Midlands, June 2011The wedding was four weeks ago and our feet still hurt! The band have an impressive repertoire both old and new and played each song with an infectious enthusiasm to match. They had everyone dancing from the off and so many guests have commented on how good they were, including the DJ who was superb in between sets and even let a group of us belt out Bohemiam Rhapsody from the stage! Fun yet professional from the pre wedding discussion to the last chord, the band produced an indie cover version of a girls aloud track when requested by one of our guests and even joined us for some dancing at the end! They were that good that we're considering divorce...so they can play at our wedding again!
-
Cheryl, School Ball, Wiltshire, June 2011What a fantastic night! The lads are extremely pleasant with a good sense of humour. Our Sixth Formers really warmed to them and the Dance floor was packed all night. The combination of the band playing interspersed with the DJ worked well. Even the Headmaster and the Senior Management team stayed for the whole Ball...thanks to The In-Laws for allowing the Headmaster to sing the last verse of "Twist and Shout"! We were all really impressed not only with the standard of their act
but also by their friendliness. Please can we book them for next year?! -
Cheryl, Student Event, Wiltshire, July 2011The In-Laws, what a fantastic group of young men. They are pleasant and polite.....eating with us at our Sixth Form Ball. All of the students thoroughly enjoyed their music and the dance floor was packed all night. We are looking forward to them returning next year.
Great service from Function Central. This is now the fifth year we have used you and the service is highly efficient and professional. The advice given about bands to use has been much appreciated. -
Alex, Wedding, London, July 2011The In-Laws were absolutely superb at our wedding. We were very fussy about the band we wanted, but these guys exceeded our expectations. They were utterly professional and had the crowd dancing from start to finish with a brilliant array of songs. Thoroughly recommended - they will not let you down!
-
Paul, Wedding, Merseyside, July 2011The In-laws are not only an aptly named band for a wedding reception, but are also rather good. The dance floor wasn't empty for a moment. It was very easy to deal with them and I'd recommend them to anyone planning on having a party.
-
Jo, School Ball, Wiltshire, June 2011Thanks once again for an amazing evening on Saturday - the feedback we have had about you guys is brilliant - loved your music - you have a lot of new fans!! Liam was brilliant too - his music was perfect and he was on the ball and on cue all night.
-
Suzi and Jame , Wedding, Somerset, May 2011Thank you to The In-Laws who played at our wedding in May 2011, I've been to a good 20 weddings in the last few years and can safely say The In-Laws were the best band I've seen by a distance. I had chosen our venue in order that my guests could party til dawn- we had booked to have the band until midnight. However the guys were really friendly and sociable and kept their DJ set going til 2am despite the fact they had a 5hr drive home. They really did let our guests dance til they dropped and judged the music choices really well, we started with Carly Simon's nobody does it better, but they pumped out some jungle in the wee-small hours. Extremely professional, arrived ahead of time- light and sound systems were great. Next time I get married I'll book them again!
-
Chris & Amy, Wedding, Cheshire, May 2011The In-Laws exceeded our expectations and made a huge contribution to a wonderful evening. They played a mix of modern and oldies, and had clearly done their homework on songs we liked following my email a week before the event. Many of guests commented on how much they enjoyed their performance. I would definitely recommend them to others.
-
Richard, Wedding, Birmingham, February 2011The In-Laws absolutely rocked our wedding, the dance-floor was packed from start to finish. We were absolutely delighted with them and have had loads of comments from guests on how good they were and how much fun they had at our wedding. They were also really nice lads and catered to all of our special requests. So if you like proper guitar bands – I can’t recommend them enough!

James and Kerstin, Wedding, Kent, September 2010Just a quick note to say a big "thank you" to you and the guys for all your help in arranging the band and making the evening go so well. We have received nothing but praise for both the band and the DJ from a group of friends and relatives whose tastes are usually extremely diverse. The band were extremely professional and extremely obliging. They turned up on time, were flexible to ad-hoc requests and even let our niece's band play an impromtu set in the middle of their act! It was a pleasure to make their acquaintence and we hope that they enjoyed themselves too! The quote from the night comes from an elderly great uncle who was caught on camera 'throwing some big shapes' at the end of the night: "I wanted to save myself to the end in case I had a heart attack and spolied your big day!" I am pleased to say that he was fine and had a great time. Since our wedding day we have recommended your services to several of our friends who have asked us who we used and who the band were. Indeed, we went to a friends wedding just recently who we think had found their band through you after asking us. (Just waiting for our commission cheque to turn up......!!!!) Thanks again and best wishes.
-
Emma and Alex, Wedding, West Midlands, October 2010They were just brilliant, we loved the music they played – something for everyone, but especially for us indie fans and our first dance (In My Life by The Beatles), was superb. They were also great fun, playing along with a very drunk friend who insisted on conducting the last couple of songs – they were a perfect end to a great wedding.
-
Teena, Wedding, October 2010First week back from honeymoon and struggling to get back into work. I just wanted to thank you and the band for being so utterly fantastic and making our wedding reception one that people are still talking about. You were all so professional and totally nailed every song you played. The DJ was great too. You selected the right mix of songs to get everyone up cutting shapes on the dancefloor. Thanks again!
-
Hazel, Wedding, Essex, August 2010You lot were AMAZING. I could not have asked for anything better, I had comments all night saying that you were the best band at a wedding anyone had ever seen. When you lot did our first dance, I could hardly concentrate on anything coz I just wanted to turn to everyone and go "blimey, they're good, aren't they!???" And you all looked like you enjoyed yourselves too! Best of luck with the band, not that you need it. And thank you for making it so much fun for us.
-
David, Party, Bath, August 2010Just a brief note to let you know the the In-Laws were brilliant on Sunday evening. All the set up was done perfectly on time, the interval dj music worked really well and the sets themselves were very professional and sounded great - we have had many comments about how good the band were - please pass our thanks on to them.
-
Rosina, Corporate, London, July 2010On hiring this band for our Summer Party, which is our large corporate event of the year, they more than exceeded expectations. The band were friendly and professional, set up and cleared away quickly and quietly, were happy to adjust to our location requirements and worked with us all evening to make sure everything was running smoothly. Our theme was Old British Summer, and the band happily played music in theme with this and also adapted to mood of the evening, by bringing in some classics and more modern hits. After the event many of our guests contacted us to say thank you, and many commented on how great the band was. I would highly recommend the hiring of The In-Laws for any event, we will definitely being hiring them again!
-
Lizzie, Corporate, Wiltshire, July 2010We gave The In-Laws the hard task of providing entertainment for an audience of approximately 300 guests ranging widely in age. They provided just what we were after and to a very high standard. The evening was enjoyed by all and we have already had requests for details of how to book the band from members of the audience who are hoping to have the group at their own events, to me a clear indicator of their popularity. A friendly group of lads who went out of their way to ensure a successful evening for which I am very grateful. They will definitely be at the event again next year if we can get them! A professional booking service was provided by Function Central who gave very helpful advice on the most suitable act for our particular event. They continued to be very helpful right the way through the booking process and even after the event by following up on how the night went. My thanks go to all involved.

N, Wedding, Lincolnshire, November 2009These boys were fantastic! Me and my husband were quite taken a back at how young and fresh faced they were, but they proved to be one of the most accomplished live bands I’ve seen in years. After a bit of disaster with the weather earlier in the afternoon, they really turned the day around and filled the room with life and energy! Thank you very much for a special performance on our special day.
-
R , Wedding, London, December 2009The In-laws were absolutely brilliant, and sustained an energetic set from the first song to the last. They all had amazing stage presence, with both funny and intelligent stage patter that made everybody from the kids to the grandparents want to get involved and dance. They were turned out immaculately, and looked like a well trimmed handsome pop group from the 60s. The lead singer was a real gentleman and all turned up on time and ready to go with no delays or problems. The performance as a whole was seamless and the DJ really knew how to please a crowd in between sets. I’d recommend these guys to anybody. Thanks a lot, all the best.
-
David, Birthday, Doncaster, February 2010You could really tell from the first song that these guys weren’t just any ordinary covers band. They were full of energy and raw talent, and really made the songs their own as well as involving everyone at the wedding. It really felt like everyone was in on the show, with everybody arm in arm at the end, from jiving and swinging to the Beatles early on. They were all incredibly accomplished musicians, and as well as this, very very professional. They arrived at the venue two hours before show time, and were ready to go fifteen mins before they were due on. Faultless - what a band. Highly recommended for any occasion.
