The Jay Bee’s line-up includes Vocals, Saxophone, Guitars, Bass and Drums and Trumpet for the larger band. The group has been playing together since 2004. Every member is a top class professional musician with a wealth of experience. What people say
We were thrilled with the band they did an awesome job. We had countless comments of how brilliant everyone thought they were. We couldn't have been happier!!
The 6 piece band were absolutely brilliant. I would say they are the best live Funk & Soul band I have ever seen. 10/10. The lead singer held the stage well and the overall timing of the band was perfect. Every one of the guests were blown away by their quality.
The JayBee’s were absolutely fantastic at our wedding – they performed our first dance request and then launched into a floor-filling set-list that kept my wife and I and all of our guests rooted to the dance-floor for the whole evening….They took the time to learn a specific track to end the night with and all the feedback I’ve received from guests was glowing!!! When they played “Sex Machine” I thought the roof would come off, that had people up shaking their thang/tail-feathers – who never ever get up to dance…..They even squeezed an encore in, as the crowd were wanting one more! They are brilliant musicians and I would simply say to anyone looking at booking these guys…. “Shake ya money maker”!!
The Jaybees were very professional from the word go! Harry contacted us before the wedding to introduce himself. He also got as much information from us as possible re: our first dance request, the songs we liked & interval music. On the day they started with 'Let's Stay Together' - Al Green, our first dance which we had spent weeks learning a choreographed dance to. They did it just as we asked so the dance would flow. Following this the band got everybody up dancing all night with their mix of funk & soul. We have had so many comments about them. Everybody said that they had never been to such a fantastic do. We were over the moon with the whole evening. Thank you!
The Jaybees were amazing!! My husband and I couldn't get ourselves off the dance floor whilst they were playing! A lot of our guests commented on how brilliant they were, and how they would happily pay money to watch these guys perform! We are sooo pleased to have had them play at our wedding, they definitely made it a night to remember! Our experience of dealing with Function Central was all good. From my initial discussions with Alastair Lion, who put us onto the Jaybees, to Beverley Davison who dealt with all the practicalities the service was always professional, friendly and helpful.
I cannot speak more highly of the JayBees. They were extremely professional: they contacted the wedding venue well in advance to ensure there were no issues, which put our minds at rest that everything would go to plan; they arrived and set up in time so as to be as unintrusive as possible and, most importantly, they put their heart and soul into the music which created a great atmosphere and got people dancing. They were a lovely set of guys and I’d certainly hire them again.
The band were very flexible and willing to the learn a song for our first dance that was amazing, so good we requested it twice and they were only too willing to oblige. The music was great we danced the whole way through and they were helpful with all our requests. In relation to Function Central the service was very good, responding quickly to questions and willing to put us directly in contact with the band.
Just wanted to say how great The Jay Bees were for our wedding on 17th October. Although we obviously said thanks to them on the day, we wanted to pass on our official 'thanks' to them via yourselves and to say how brilliant they were. Could you pass this on to them? Many thanks!
I whole heartedley recomend the Jaybees they made my wedding so special. All of my guests commented on how amazing they were. The genre of music suited the wide range of ages and musical tastes. The band were so friendly and overplayed as my guests were pleading for more! We were absolutely astonished that the lead singer was a stand in- he was phenomenal. The band and function central were fantastic.
The band was well worth every penny!
Just had to contact you to thank you so much for providing us with such an excellent band! The Jay Bees were superb! From arrival, to performance, everything was totally professional and well executed. The guys were charming, discreet and easy to talk to and as for the music, as my daughters and their friends said, they were 'HOT'. Jon has a very distinct voice, I love it! All in all, the party was a great success and a huge part of that is due to The Jay Bees. Just trying to think of another excuse to hire them again! Thank you so much! Jacqueline & family x
Tight, soulful, dynamic and always funky. The band could have played all night long if you ask me.
You want relentless funk'til-you-drop delivered by one of the best outfits around? You've come to the right place...The Jay Bees have perfected the art of filling the dance floor with their seriously infectious feel-good covers. This is as good as it gets!
