What people say Help

  • The Mod Cons were fantastic, they played a cracking set of tunes and everyone commented how great they were. They capped off our special day superbly. All the service received through Function Central was very good and the band were really patient and pleasant.

  • All praise to the Mod cons! Just to say the guys were amazing - they coped superbly with a tight playlist due to the late running of dinner and got everyone on their feet. Pacy, slick, charismatic - and lovely chaps to boot - quote me at will!

Chris, Wedding, South East, July 2011
  • Yes, we did all enjoy the Mod Cons when they visited us recently, we were pleasantly surprised by the level of performance which was delivered with an enthusiasm that was infectious. The lads interacted well with the crowd & kept the dance floor buzzing. In addition they are a thoroughly nice bunch who were a pleasure to deal with. The best accolade I can give them is that we will be looking to book them again in the future! As for booking through Function Central, again no issues, a simple, straightforward exercise. An easy to understand contract & the promo bumph provided was of good quality & received in a timely manner. In a nutshell, the way all bookings should be!

  • We absolutely loved The Mod Cons and so did our guests. Everyone asked where we had found them and if we had seen them before - we hadn't, and even after we'd booked them we had our doubts as we hadn't actually seen them, we'd only heard the demos on the website. It was definately a risk worth taking and anyone reading this with any doubts, don't have, go ahead and book them! They were worth every penny. One of our guests commented that she had never been to a wedding where 5 middle aged guys were the only ones on the dancefloor!!! Yes, men and no women, they were that good the men who like their music were up dancing on thier own! Our wedding did have a bit of a "Mod" feel to it, which the band topped off superbly - they looked the part and sounded excellent!!! They were lovely friendly guys and can't wait until we have another big party as they will be top of the list to book. Mr & Mrs Waite, West Midlands.

  • The Mod Cons were absolutely brilliant! Everybody who was at our wedding has commented on how good they were. They really did all the classic songs that they covered the justice they deserved. A really nice bunch of lads who should go far in the music industry. They made our wedding even more perfect.

  • The Mod Cons, what can I say, apart from they were phenomenal, considering they are all young guys and born so far from the sixties era you would think they had been around in the sixties. They were note and word perfect. Suited and Booted, in fact when they first walked out on the stage and started singing you would think the Beetles had reformed. It was a fantastic gig and the guys were all very polite and professional and a joy to deal with. All of our guests at the wedding thought they were fantastic and constantly asked us where we had found these guys. We wish The Mod Cons all the very best for their future and thank them from the heart for making our special day perfect, they were the icing on the cake and a credit to their age group and we would strongly recommend The Mod Cons to anyone out there looking for a great band. Cheers to Function Central thanks for all of your help and hope to do business again in the future.

  • We used the Mod-Cons for a recent birthday celebration and they certainly lived up to their reputation! We wanted an authentic 60s sound and look and they provided exactly that and more. They looked and sounded great and were totally professional, punctual, polite, well organised and accommodated all our requests. The dance floor was packed all night as our guests relived their miss-spent youth! People are still talking about the band weeks later and several wanted to book them for their own parties – which I would definitely recommend!

  • The Mod Cons were fantastic, there really are not enough words to use (speechless). We booked the band for our wedding at Ruthin Castle on 26th July 2009. The staff at the castle told us afterwards that they were the best band they had heard in a long time, the band was well dressed and looked the part from the moment they arrived. All the guests at our wedding commented and were not off the dance floor. We requested Sweet Home Alabama for our first dace which is not something on their play list; however it was fantastic, we were so pleased! I did not have to worry about anything once we booked the band; the date was set and everything in place, very easy and a huge weight off my mind. All correspondence done by e-mail and phone.Thank you so much for making our day that little bit extra special.

  • These are one of the best discoveries I have found this year. It’s like a trip back to the 60's and I'm looking forward to seeing them in NYC later this year.
