Kick back and listen to the irresistible sounds of Brazilian music performed by an authentic Brazilian vocalist straight from São Paulo.

The duo’s repertoire includes bossa nova classics such as The Girl from Ipanema, Desafinado, Chega de Saudade; sambas including Mas Que Nada, Aquarela do Brasil, Saudosa Maloca and Brazilian popular classics by artists including Djavan, Marisa Monte and Gilberto Gil.

They have a huge song list also encompassing other Brazilian styles such as forro, baião, marchinha and choro; full repertoire lists are available on request!

I glanced around the hall a couple of times during the performance and all I could see was a sea of transfixed, happy faces. Organiser, Community Event, Nottingham

The instrumental duo blends clarinet with guitar in one of Brazil’s most traditional and best-loved styles – choro. A jazzy blend of sambas, polkas, waltzes and other Afro-Brazilian styles, choro combines infectious rhythms with sparkling melodies and effortless virtuosity. It’s been part of the authentic sound of Rio for over 100 years, and the music brings real Brazilian atmosphere to any event.

The Brazil Connection Duo offers either vocals or clarinet, each with a unique sound. However both of Brazil Connection’s duo options can be expanded to include one or more additional musicians.

For the vocal duo the band advise adding clarinet for some sultry solos, or piano for a Jazzier blend. For the instrumental duo they suggest adding a cavaquinho – the traditional ukulele – or a flute. And, for either - they recommend adding some superb Brazilian percussion if you want to heat things up!

For larger events, this pair play as part of Brazil Connection, an exciting and dynamic quartet who can expand even further and add extra musicians for even more Brazilian flavour.
