Kate is one-of-a-kind performer, combining natural talent and flair with extensive professional experience and a personalised approach to weddings and events.

She is skilled at matching her songs and arrangements to the desired tone of each event, from elaborate and formal to casual chic. She can provide gentle background music while your guests chat, or accompany a DJ, band, or orchestra on electric violin for stunning headline entertainment.

Inspired by Vanessa Mae’s music, Kate started learning violin at the age of six, starting a lifelong obsession with both violin music and live performances.

She entertained and indeed memorised our guests all evening with her exquisite performances. A true professional! Simon, Land Rover Product Launch

She has Masters degree in Violin Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music and an Honours degree from University of Leeds and has studied under a number of world-famous tutors that have included Mieczyslaw Szlezer, Lukas David, Miranda Playfair (co-leader of Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra) Raimonda Koco (Opera North) and Leland Chen (a Menuhin pupil).

With her distinctive electric violin, hand-made by world famous British violin maker Ted Brewer, Kate infuses aspects of traditional music with a modern edge.

Kate is happy to tailor her performance to your exact requirements, whether she’s required for the wedding ceremony, reception or a corporate event. She’s also happy for clients to request music from her vast repertoire, all of which she knows by heart – no sheet music here!

“Catherina played a varied set of classics and popular tunes, displaying a virtuosity that immediately seized the audience. The assembled group were entranced and said they couldn't wait for her to come back to play for them again.”

Jeff, Charity Event, Leeds, March 2019

“Catherina played at the Yorkshire Cancer Research Art Exhibition which was held at Pavilions of Harrogate last May. The event was attended by around 350 people and was opened by The Rt. Hon. William Hague. Following our initial discussion, Catherina chose a selection of classical and elegant popular pieces to play. Her performance was impeccable and I received many complimentary comments. I would not hesitate to use her again.”

Sally, Cancer Research UK Event, Yorkshire, October 2018

“Having heard Catherina playing on Briggate we knew she would be absolutely perfect for our event... and she was. Playing during the drinks reception she set exactly the right tone and guests loved her. Would definitely recommend.”

Emma, Private Event, August 2018

“We decided to book Catherina to play at our beach-style wedding in Devon after reading the great reviews and hearing her stunning tracks. Let me tell you she did not disappoint. She played to perfection during our ceremony and really captured the vibe we wanted for the day! Our guests were singing along and asked where we had found such a rare talent. Catherina is a delight, she is professional and really took our ideas into consideration to make the performance so personal, made just for us. I really encourage anyone to add the wow factor to their event by booking Catherina and hearing how talented she is in person.”
