A band with a real continental sound and music inspired by the great recordings of Django Reindhardt, Claret Swing play a selection of swinging jazz standards, traditional gypsy folk tunes, french musette, waltzes and bossa novas. The cheerful swing of the music with a light bounce creates a relaxed, happy atmosphere.

Claret Swing was formed to play in a bar in New Cross, London every Monday night in 2005. Since then they have performed in palaces, castles, galleries, gardens, hotels, riverboats, houses large and small, conference centres, churches, restaurants and more.

For small events, Claret Swing can perform acoustically, and for larger events they have their own amplifiers that they can provide.
