Klezmer Kats are a London-based folk band with a serious talent for turning any room into a full-blown celebration. Rooted in the rich musical traditions of Eastern Europe, they mix Klezmer melodies, Balkan rhythms, and folk tunes from Moravia, Bohemia, and Slovakia into a joyful, globe-trotting musical adventure.

Their repertoire travels far and wide — from the Hungarian countryside to the cafés of Istanbul and the lively ports of the Black Sea.

Their sound is a lively mash-up of soaring violins, bouncing accordion, wailing clarinets, rich vocals, double bass grooves, and the occasional splash of saxophone for good measure. Some tunes tug at the heartstrings, others hit like an espresso shot to the feet, but every performance comes with warmth, humour, and an irresistible urge to dance.

Inspired by the many cultures that have crossed paths throughout Eastern Europe over the centuries, Klezmer Kats weave together Jewish, Romani, Ottoman, Celtic, and Magyar musical traditions with effortless charm.

Whether performing in intimate venues or on festival stages, they bring people together the old-fashioned way: through great tunes, big energy, and a healthy disregard for sitting still.
