Now based in Bristol, this duo originally met in Liverpool and their love of music brought them together to form The Mavericks in 2012. Having over a decade of experience behind them working with Function Central, running events and getting parties rocking, your entertainment will definitely be in safe hands.

Collaborations and tours the duo have been involved in have included Christy Moore, The Waterboys, The Stranglers, The Wonder Stuff, The Bluetones and various stints on the BBC late night Janice Long show and also backing the legendary Elvis Costello live on the Jonathan Ross show.

Excellent musicianship, polished performance, energy and audience engagement. Mavericks have all of these in abundance, that's why they are regulars here at the Star! Eimear, Entertainment manager for The Star Inn in Bristol

These charismatic musicians have toured the UK, Europe and Scandinavia. Performing their collection of pop songs, Irish trad, bluegrass and Cajun tunes, and covering every genre from classical to rock.

Mavericks can play music that is fiery and lightning fast, also they love playing laid-back background music. Either way this is a fun duo and they play everything from the heart. Perfect for up beat party nights but also for laid back reception drinks and dinner events.

Book the band for your wedding or party and they’ll give you a discounted rate for the ‘in-house’ DJ service which includes playing fiddle acoustically around the venue or campfire to guests who don’t dance to keep them entertained!

“The music and energy was absolutely fantastic! They got everyone on the dance floor and kept them there all night. Top quality performers who played a great mix of songs and really helped make the evening special. Can't recommend Mavericks any more - our guests loved them.”

Aoife & Grahame, Wedding, WWT London Wetlands Centre, August 2019

“It was my husbands 60th birthday party this summer and he’d seen The Mavericks play at our local pub a few times and really wanted them to play on his birthday. We love them, they play really well-really tight. Guests loved them and thought they were perfect for the day. And they’re really lovely blokes too! Just need another big birthday to get them to play again.”

Shirley, Birthday party, July 2018
