Party Up's effortless cool and astonishingly high level of musicianship has provided the perfect headline entertainment at hundreds of weddings and parties over the last seven years.

The band play a mix of infectiously danceable pop, funk, soul, R&B, hip hop and UK garage. The band count Sky, Cadburys and the actress Emma Thompson among their regular clients.

Party Up's standard 6-piece line-up features male vocals and includes keyboards and sax, which allows them to recreate soulful classics by Stevie Wonder and Prince, floor-fillers by Michael Jackson and Chaka Khan and chart-toppers by Pharrell and Bruno Mars with stunning authenticity!

The band have a long and impressive list of credentials in the music industry. Between them, they've performed on Top of the Pops, TFI Friday, Parkinson and Later With Jools Holland.

Members of the band have appeared on the same stage as Sister Sledge, Carleen Anderson, Richard Ashcroft, Boy George, Sir Elton John and Tom Jones, played at world famous venues such as Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the 100 Club and have session credits with soul and rare groove stars such as Tom Browne and James Mason.

Party Up are the best live band I've ever danced all night to! They perform with huge joy and really know how to keep the crowd moving. I'll never book anyone else! Emma Thompson, Actress

The band have performed at prestigious venues across the UK, including The 606 Club, The Hurlingham Club, and Hedsor House, as are in huge demand on the corporate event circuit. Their client list over the last few years includes huge household names such as Cadburys, Ernst & Young, the BBC, Barclays, Hilton Hotels, MTR Crossrail, Sky, Tesco, Lego, BT, Tag Worldwide, Standard Life, The London Eye, and even the actress Emma Thompson!

Party Up perform the majority of their bookings as a 6-piece but can expand to include a range of extra musicians, right up to a 10-piece (as featured in their videos). Add trumpet and/or additional sax to create a horn section and enhance their soul and funk repertoire; a male or female backing vocalist to fill out their sound with smooth, warm harmonies; or percussion for the biggest, funkiest grooves.

Party Up are able provided a manned DJ service (using a laptop equipped with virtual DJ software) before, between and after sets, saving you the hassle of coordinating a separate DJ. The DJ playlist consists of a broad range of soul, funk, rock and pop songs similar in style to their own repertoire. Please see below for costs. They can even provide their acoustic duo set (guitar and vocals) for your drinks reception or wedding breakfast in the afternoon.

Whatever your musical preferences, Party Up will adapt their set to your favourite genres. Don't like modern music? No problem – the band will stick to classic soul and funk. Soft spot for UK garage? Dance the night away to one of the only function bands covering this genre.

The band can perform a Jewish/Klezmer medley on request.

Now working as one of Function Central's most bookable wedding soul bands in Kent and beyond, the band are friendly, reliable and professional to a fault, and will do their utmost to ensure your day goes smoothly. Highly recommended!

“Party Up played at our wedding in Sept. They were incredible from start to finish. Rave reviews from all guests and even our suppliers commented that they were the best band they had seen on the wedding circuit, asking us for contact details for the band. We added extra brass an an extra female vocalist. We were not disappointed and she was an excellent addition to the band. Thank you for helping make our wedding so special. If you're looking for a band to play at your event look no further. Party Up are the best by miles.”

James, Wedding, Kent, October 2017

“The band were absolutely amazing! They made the day and everyone thought they were brilliant! They were completely professional but such great fun! I had so many compliments from guests and I would definitely recommend!”

Kayleigh, Wedding, Eastwell Manor in Kent, December 2019

“Party Up were fantastic. They played all the songs we requested & more. Everyone said they were brilliant. Everyone at Steve’s 60th Party said they loved the band. The dance floor was full all night & we did a Kylie Routine which Party Up made great. They did 3 music sessions which worked really well with our party. Thank you for making Steve’s 60th Birthday so special.”

Karen, 60th Birthday Party, Ferndown Golf Club in Dorset, December 2019

“The band were fantastic, great choice of songs for our event and performed to the end of the evening. Best band I have experienced. Booking through the agency was easy and being able to view performances of the artist before committing was reassuring.”

Dawn, Corporate Event, The Clayton Hotel in London, November 2019

“I’m just back from our honeymoon and I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you and the rest of the band for such an amazing performance at our wedding – you were brilliant. We loved Gizelle’s rendition of Slide Away and we’ve had so many comments from guest on how great you all were. My only regret is I wasn’t on the dancefloor all night as I kept getting pulled in different directions.. I’m also sorry I didn’t get to speak to you and say thank you in person and make sure you were all okay – the evening just zoomed by. I hope you were well fed and looked after. Thanks so much again!”
