With around eight hours worth of party anthems, from 1950s rock'n'roll to recent pop, Penfold are able to perfectly tailor their set to each and every event and ensure all age-groups and musical preferences are accounted for. The band's frontman is not only an outstanding vocalist, but also skilled at turning a party around and whipping up the crowd into a frenzy.

In their seven years working exclusively with Function Central they’ve become one of our most acclaimed wedding bands in the South East, performing at all the best-known venues in the area, such as Lympne Castle, Rhinefield House, Swancar Farm, Clock Barn, Wotton House, Turvey House, The Tythe Barn, Westheath and Ettington Park.

They were a pleasure to deal with, punctual and provided first class entertainment all evening – the dancefloor was never empty! Beverley, Charity Ball, Suffolk

More recently they've been in vogue on the college and university freshers’ week circuit and have performed for parties as far north as Aberdeen and as far south as Falmouth.

The band offer their own “in-house” DJ service for a knock-down price, as well as brass section (recommended for their soul and funk repertoire). A two or three-piece ‘unplugged’ acoustic option is available to hire for laid-back background music during receptions and dinners.

Due to strong demand, early booking is recommended.

“Penfold were fantastic, the dancefloor was never empty through their live and DJ set.”

Katie & Tom, Wedding, St Bart's Brewery in London, July 2019

“Highly recommend Penfold! They got everyone up dancing even with a girls vs boys dance off. Me and my husband has the best night ever dancing the night away with friends and family.”

Claire, Wedding, Buckinghamshire, August 2019

“Penfold contacted both me and my husband to check our music preferences. I was really pleased that their set list was based heavily on what we both liked. Penfold were excellent with the crowd and really good fun. I couldn’t recommend a band higher!”

Kerry, Wedding at Rayleigh Cricket Club, Essex, July 2019

“Thank you! It was amazing and you were great! Thank you so much. When I look back I think Steve and I made some great choices, and one of them was definitely you guys! We loved the boy v girls dance off – though I’m still a little traumatised by the last ‘full monty’ dance.”

Nina, Wedding in London, August 2019

“We couldn’t have been more pleased with Penfold!! Our original band booking had to pull out at the last minute due to a family issue and Function Central were super at quick and professional at finding us a replacement. Penfold got in touch promptly to see what music we wanted and learnt our first dance song in 5days! They were really good fun, great with the crowd and got everyone on the dance floor. We particularly enjoyed the dance off! The lead singer had a fab voice and they covered a huge range of tracks. We had loads of positive feedback from our guests. Thank you!!! Alice and Alex”
