The Big City Jump Band are an exciting London band playing the best classic R&B, jump, and jazz of the 40s, 50s, and 60s. The band includes some of the best musicians the capital has to offer.

Their stompin' rhythms, infectious horns, and soulful male vocals will make you want to dance all night long with their authentic versions of the real, original dance music.

Since you played at my party we haven't stopped talking about you guys, we had so much fun and I'm still worn out from all the dancing! Sara, Birthday Party, Surrey

The band play a whole host of tunes that you already love, and some tunes that you don’t know yet, but as soon as you hear them you’ll wonder why they aren’t already staples of your own collection!

If you like the music of Ray Charles, Fats Domino, or Nina Simone you're in for a real treat!

“My friends and I had an amazing night watching the The Big City Jump Band! They played some of my favourite blues music and had loads of people up and dancing even though it was a seated venue! If you like vintage vibes and awesome solos from some of the best musicians in London, you will love these guys.”

Anna, Public Event in London, May 2019

“We had The Big City Jump Band play at our live festival at the end of the summer as the evening entertainment and they were so, so good! I didn’t think people would be dancing after a long day of talks but they managed to get a lot of people up on the dance floor!”

Angela, Financial Times Live Festival, September 2018

“We organise a yearly summer party for our employees and wanted to hire a band that would get everyone dancing and having a good time. We heard the Big City Jump Band and thought they would be a good fit. We weren’t wrong! We had about 100 people at the party and I think there were moments when everyone was on the dance floor at the same time! It was amazing and we’ll definitely be booking them again.”

Michael, Corporate Event, London, August 2018

“We booked these guys as our entertainment after our awards evening. They really made the night extra-special”

Francis, Corporate Event, London, July 2018

“These guys are amazing, they bring the party. I'm looking forward to booking them again at my venue ASAP!”
