The Slick City Jazz Stompers play traditional dixieland jazz straight out of New Orleans. They’re ideally suited to playing at garden parties and outdoor events where a power supply isn’t available.

The band’s extensive repertoire features dixieland jazz classics by the likes of Bix Beiderbecke, King Oliver and Louis Armstrong alongside jazz standards from the great American Songbook.

The band’s slick, personal and flexible approach makes it the ideal choice and finishing touch to your important event.

With an extensive repertoire of Christmas songs, The Slick City Jazz Stompers are a great choice for any winter's party too!

Excellent music, thank you! Gordon Ramsay, Waldorf Hotel, London

The band offer a range of line-ups which can be tailored to suit the nature of your event, from a duo through to the full 7-piece band:

Trio (clarinet, banjo, sousaphone): the most popular option, this line-up is perfect for creating a celebratory ambience at the champagne wedding reception or to lighten the mood at any corporate function. It's guaranteed to get everyone's foot tapping and put a smile on the faces of all of your guests.

4-piece (banjo, clarinet, sousaphone, cornet or drums): one of the most flexible line-ups and is available in two different combinations to suit your requirements. With the use of the trumpet or drums, the 4 piece band gives a little more prominence and flexibility compared with the smaller 3 piece group.

5-piece (banjo, clarinet, cornet, sousaphone, drums): Maintaining the authentic sound of the 7-piece, it uses two front line instruments, a great option for those on a smaller budget.

6-piece (banjo, clarinet, cornet, trombone, sousaphone, drums): Making an excellent dance band, the infectious sound of the 3 horns and rhythm section will make your party one to remember. The six and seven piece bands also include our excellent vocalist.

7-piece (full band): the ultimate line-up. The band's hot jazz, big sound and feel good factor will lift all spirits making your event extremely memorable.

“We had an amazing time on the 2nd December 2006 - The Cotton Club theme just came together with The Slick City Jazz Stompers playing the really authentic 20/30s New Orleans Jazz, the dance floor was full all evening. You must book these guys!!! They are the best!”

Lucie, Corporate Event in Kent

“They were the nuts! We did a 1920's themed wedding, they performed to 200 guests wandering around the site playing Jeeves and Wooster style jazz. Best act of the day. They managed to ad lib to a full Charleston troop successfully! 2 x 45 min sets at least and reckon any posh do would be complete with them. Toodle pip.”

Tim, Wedding in Sussex

“Thank you for performing such a great set at our wedding. One of my most vivid memories is Edward and I arriving at our reception and before walking in we took 5 mins to stand and listen out of sight to the jazz. It was such a great feeling to hear the music and the chatter of all our guests. Everyone I have spoken to since has been incredibly complimentary about the band. You looked the part and you really did bring a smile to people's faces and ensure that the reception kicked off in style. The atmosphere created was such that it made everyone feel so relaxed and there was no awkward chit chat - people were straight in there on the Pimms and gossiping away! If anyone is ever looking for a jazz band, I will be sure to recommend you.”

Jennifer, Wedding in Surrey
