The Steel Panthers are the product of a family tradition of steel pan playing stretching back to the 1950s. A popular fixture at the annual Notting Hill carnival, they’re also in high demand at weddings and private events throughout London and the UK.

The band’s lively covers of popular melodies mixed with classic Caribbean rhythms win over audiences of all ages and musical preferences. The band are fun, professional and flexible and can provide either background music or a more interactive experience for dancing.

Very friendly and professional band – we would highly recommend to others. Lovely background music, perfect for a celebration! Matthew, Prize Giving Ceremony at University of Nottingham

As well as numerous festivals, carnivals and Caribbean themed evenings, The Steel Panthers performed live on TV for Big Brother in 2006, as well as Channel 4's celebrity Come Dine With Me as Bobby Davro's post-dinner entertainment. They’ve also performed on BBC London and BBC Radio 4.

The band’s most popular line-ups are as a duo (tenor pan player and a second pan player) or a trio (tenor, second and guitar pan players). They can also be extended to a four-piece steel band, five, six or even seven-piece band for a bigger calypso sound, for both outdoor and indoor corporate events. No power is required, making them adaptable to almost any occasion or venue.

The band differ from other steel bands in that they're able to perform a "pan-around-neck" steel band if required, carrying their instruments around their necks in a “marching band” style, for wedding processions and for festivals and carnivals.
