We chose The Mill at Conder Green, near Lancaster in Lancashire, as our wedding venue and absolutely loved it. The setting is stunning, with plenty of outdoor space for guests to relax and enjoy, plus its location right on the canal adds such a peaceful, picturesque backdrop. The staff at The Mill were amazing from the very start — friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful, making the whole planning process so much easier. From the first visit to the day itself, we felt completely supported and cared for.

Our theme was rustic with a touch of elegance. The venue room itself was a beautiful blank canvas, which gave us the freedom to put our own stamp on it. We wanted a relaxed, natural feel while still making it feel special and polished for the day. With careful touches in the décor and styling, we were able to create a space that felt both intimate and celebratory — a perfect reflection of us as a couple.

I’ve always dreamed of having a live band at my wedding, so I spent a lot of time researching different wedding bands across the North West. Eventually, I discovered Manhattan, and from the moment I listened to their demos on YouTube, I knew they were exactly what we wanted.

I loved how they merged different songs and styles, bringing energy, versatility, and real talent to every performance. They weren’t just musicians — they were entertainers who connected with the crowd. On the day, they had everyone up dancing and genuinely enjoying themselves. Their professionalism, friendliness, and obvious love for what they do made them a joy to have at our wedding. The only downside was when their set came to an end — we wanted more!

One of the most special moments was saying our vows at the beautiful Ashton Memorial — it was such an emotional and intimate experience, just the two of us surrounded by the amazing scenery.

Another highlight was having time with my new husband and celebrating with our friends and family on the dance floor. Manhattan created an incredible atmosphere, making the evening feel alive, joyous, and completely memorable. Dancing the night away with all our loved ones is a memory we’ll treasure forever.
